Strange old man. Looking forward to Tony Schiavone's podcast, though. Great to see one of the good guys profiting from Conrad's money mark antics.

Schiavone is one of the few people from that era who hasn't done a load of shoot interviews or podcasts so it'll be fun to hear stories from his perspective. His appearance on Flair's podcast a year or two ago shows he still has a pretty good memory for things, even if he has no interest in current wrestling.

I actually whooped aloud in the car last night when they reveled Schiavone's new show. Didn't really enjoy the Kurt Angle episode as much as most of the podcasts they've done, but that's because the subject matter was a bit too recent for my liking. Post-2000 stuff just doesn't hold much nostalgia value for me.

Conrad mentioned getting some angry phone calls after the Sunny episode aired. It seems since then that the Flair/Conrad relationship is dead. Usually they are always heading to the PPVs together with Conrad backstage with Ric. But Conrad has referred to going to the Rumble with his daughter this weekend and didn't mention Flair.

Merzbow Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 It doesn't work too well as it is right now, Tony isn't Bruce and wasn't hands on with the backstage workings at such a high level so most of his answers were pretty much "I don't know". The format needs tweaking to suit him better.

Anyone else blocked by Tony Schiavone on twitter? Apparently he used to block anyone who mentioned his name and wrestling together, whether negaitve or not. Oddball.
