Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted September 29, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted September 29, 2016 Austin getting a good hiding on the cover is surprising. Or maybe not, considering they usually try and downplay Austin's contributions to the company for some reason.

Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted September 29, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted September 29, 2016 (edited) The 30 seconds on the History of the WWE DVD where they gave DX more credit for turning the Attitude era around as he did. "Hunter was in the top mix during that time" was a legit quote I believe. Then they just played random clips of Austin and Jericho and the like. That's the WWE narrative these days. DX invaded WCW and suddenly there was a boom period. Edited September 29, 2016 by IANdrewDiceClay
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted September 29, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted September 29, 2016 Aye, it now goes Shawn Michaels and Triple H were the ones that changed the business. Then people hated the genius Mr. McMahon character so much that they tuned in to see some bald guy, who was actually playing the real life Vince McMahon, twat Mr. McMahon every week - so Vince v Vince was the draw. Paid Members tiger_rick Posted September 29, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted September 29, 2016 Enjoy the bits of the SCG timeline that cover the DX "invasion" of WCW and absolutely pan it for the piece of shite it is. It's hard to believe the significance they put on it. They're so fucking proud of themselves. Even though it achieved nothing except getting them sued. The Clint
I don't think Vince ever really got over Austin walking out on the company before the Raw taping back in 2002. I think Vince lost a ton of respect for Austin after that day.

UK Kat Von D
History is written by the winners and all that, I do wonder how the narrative would be if WCW had won the Monday Nighy Wars. Vince would probably be dead by now if they had
