God, what must his missus think of him? He already can't put his own socks on, and he looks like he stinks, and he will only shell out for christmas decorations, and to top it all of, his hands probably smell like a fetid wank the whole time from him needing relief from his fevered diva fantasies.

A May 2000 summary of WCW contracts. Some mad wages here.

http://www.scribd.com/doc/282738951/WCW-Talent-Contract-Database

Some of those are mental.

Tank Abbott on $650,000.

Shane Douglas on $725,000 over two years!

Harris twins on $130,000 a piece.

Fucking Ralphus getting $78,000!!

What the fuck? Rick Steiner on $750,000 in 2000 as well. The same as they were paying Scotty who was the vastly superior of the two by that point. I'm guessing that's because they must've signed a multi-year contract when they came back in as a team in 1996, right?

That's about $140,000 too much.

Both Steiners signed contract extensions in late 1998, when they were feuding with each other.

Absolutely excellent article here from Brandon Howard going through the numbers for WWE, NXT, ROH and New Japan in 2015, analysing TV Ratings, House Show draws and the best matches of the year. Required reading.

just watched the old Hogan/Bossman Steel Cage match from Saturday Night's Main Event and got thinking about the old blue steel cage.

What was the point of the door? The whole point of saying you can win by either climbing over the top or going through the door was just weird, did anyone ever actually win by going through the door? why would anyone actually climb over the top when they could just walk out of the cage? I guess it's more a heel type tactic to simply walk out but when a face has his opponent down it just defies logic to attempt to climb out of the cage rather than walk out.

I still love them old school matches though
