Dunno, like. 1Directioners and Beliebers do a good job. And every one can just whip out their phone and watch a live stream these days, so there's no need to go to extremes like huddling around a monitor in the pouring rain.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 11, 2016 Moderators Posted January 11, 2016 (edited) Groups of teenage girls will always be fucking crazy. Outside of that demographic, though, I can't think of a comparison. There probably is one though. I haven't given this a lot of thought. Edited January 11, 2016 by Chest Rockwell

Undefeated Steak Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 JR mentioned on his latest podcast that him and King didn't usually know the finish of a match they were calling, as they preferred calling it that way. Surprised me that, I always thought that was one thing Vince would've made sure they knew.

Surprised me that, I always thought that was one thing Vince would've made sure they knew. It gives an air of spontaneity that way. When I was doing the FWA stuff, I never watched the matches before I commentated on them. I was at the event and was vaguely aware of what was going on, but would be working gorilla or the merch table. Even when I had the pencil, I tried not to know too much about how things actually turned out.

It surprised me as something that would happen in WWE though, with everything being so tightly scripted.
The Gaffer Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I'd never seen the 2007 Royal Rumble before so I chucked it on since I'm having a bit of a sick day. I'm late to the party but that Umaga/Cena match kicks hole. It's fucked. Cena looks so mental bleeding. He looks so mental for the entire match. For all the people that say he never changed, his character has evolved over the years. When he first won the title up until about 2008 he was like this aggressive American hot head. Much, much more of a po faced, intense character. He chokes Umaga with those ring ropes for an incredibly uncomfortable time. Umaga for his part looks like a major threat not only to his opponent but the first few rows of seats. "Even monsters gotta breath, King! They gotta!". It's the tits.

The Gaffer Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 It kicks all the ass. I'll lay off my daft Cork verbiage. Still not conviced, though. Up to the 'Rumble now, in which I re learn of Kenny Dykstra's post Spirit Squad run, the string of victories over Ric Flair that it involved and the designation of the ECW guys as 'extremists'. Bob Holly and all.
