Paid Members seph Posted February 14, 2020 Paid Members Posted February 14, 2020 Except that it's not THAT great. The three-note thing is back (every Craig film except the last one has it) and apparently there's a drummer's strike. Quote
Factotum Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 My issue with modern Bond songs is they're trying to sound like Bond songs. Sam Smith's awful shit effort being the worst offender. This a good song, and I like the chorus and the build. Reminds me a bit of a slower version of Garbage's crack at it. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted February 14, 2020 Paid Members Posted February 14, 2020 Not an awful song but not a good Bond song. Quote

The Maestro Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 Not a bad effort but sounds like they've just combined the last two and come up with this. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted February 14, 2020 Members Posted February 14, 2020 I think it’s a great song, but she should’ve added a “DUUUURR” ala Bad Guy Quote
Loki Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 Me likey - follows one of the traditional Bond chord sequences, and the really sparse instrumentation give it a timeless feel. She's got a proper voice on her, too. Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted February 15, 2020 Paid Members Posted February 15, 2020 It's not a bad effort that. I bet it's good with a proper title sequence. The orchestral swells at the end of the chorus are great. I like the dynamics. It ticks a lot of Bond theme boxes, which some of the previous Craig themes (Casino Royale & Quantum Of Solace) haven't. Not that they weren't good songs, but they didn't feel like Bond themes. Quote

I'm with Factotum. Cornell's is the best because it's objectively kickass. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 15, 2020 Author Paid Members Posted February 15, 2020 It's not a proper Bond theme, just like it's not a proper Bond film. Billie Eilish's is both a great song and a great Bond song. Quote

Harry Wiseau Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 (edited) No Time To Die has been put back to November because of covid 19! "MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, announced today that after careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace, the release of NO TIME TO DIE will be postponed until November 2020." November 12th UK release. Edited March 4, 2020 by Harry Wiseau I pulled over while driving to write one sentence, thought I'd elaborate slightly when properly parked up Quote
