Im new to nxt and watched the tv show this off the back of how much i enjoyed Takeover.

But what'a the deal with Bull Dempsey? They played a montage of him working out, with a voiceover "they said i was too fat" etc. Then he makes his return, takes off his coat and he's still fat. What was that all about?

Comedy.

Enzo and Cass got a huge pop wow. Am I the only one who think the rushed and overdone there intro? Obviously they are hyped but I think it's something they need to be aware offor for the next big show they do

That 8 man tag match really should have been the opener on the Takeover show. That pop was insane and made them look big time

I agree. Part of me thinks that they should just bite the bullet and do a 3hr NXT Special. Only problem is I guess what do you do for the following TV episode?

They practically did this weekend. The live version was 2hrs 21mins

Apologies if somebody already mentioned this but having just watched Triple H's intro to Takeover on TV, I bet he was pissed off with how it turned out.

He came out ten minutes before they were scheduled to go live, made the UK tour announcement, and then explained that he had this cool idea to start the live show. He wanted all of the crowd to be completely silent, the spotlight would just be on him in the middle of the ring and after his short speech the lights would come up to reveal a sold out crowd who would then go mental.

He went through the plan THREE times, explaining the importance of everyone being quiet. Even going as far as to say "I know you're all pumped up so get it out of your systems now" and paused while everybody cheered.

But as it happened, I could hear around me odd shouts of "CM PUNK!" and "ECW!" and other cutting edge comments, followed by people yelling "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" twice as loud as the people already shouting.

I was right at the back of the arena and hoped they hadn't picked much of it up on TV. But having just watched it, it was a huge letdown.

The could have just silenced all mics except his. His bit and stephs were both unnecessary

I liked his bit, he's essentially the Paul Heyman of NXT.

I didn't think Enzo and Cass would make it once they are called up because I didn't think the act would work in a big arena but after seeing that, they'll be just fine.

They may have been a bit unnecessary, but I don't blame either of them for wanting to milk just a little bit, how proud they are of what their developmental fed has become. NXT essentially exists as Hunter's dry run for when he has total control over everything, so I bet he's fucking over the moon with the audience they've been able to cultivate to the point where they can run the Barclays and tour the UK off their own bat. Fair play.

The intro was good stuff. It is pretty funny though that HHH thought he could go out and tell inebriated smarks in Brooklyn to be quiet for a moment

So does Dana Brooke do that same pose routine in her entrance about four times for a reason. I've never seen her before, is she doing a narcissism gimmick, because she looked half ready to finger herself during her entrance. Bloody touchy lass.
