Paid Members Carbomb Posted April 21, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted April 21, 2015 Â Didnt Christopher Daniels invent the Roll of the Dice? Or am I making that up? Something in the back of my mind is telling me he did, yet I dont know where I'm getting it from. Â First I saw it was motherfucking RENO! Â Â Yeah, Reno called it "Roll Of The Dice", and Daniels called it "The Last Rites" - all fitting in with their gimmicks.
Briefcase
Not sure if this has ever been done before or if it even makes any sense but has a wrestler ever specialised in using an opponents finisher before? E.g. Rollins would use his opponents finisher every match instead of one of his own?
Moderators PowerButchi Posted April 21, 2015 Moderators Share Posted April 21, 2015 I did on WCW/nWo Revenge, so it's been done. However, I already invented YES! in the early 2000s as a catchphrase in e-fedding so I'm used to getting ripped off.
poetofthedeed
Jericho used the rock bottom and stunner when he became undisputed champ didn't he? Not as finishers though. Â I like the new move but they definitely missed a trick not having him beat dolph with the rko.
d-d-d-dAz
I thought that. It's an absolute travesty he's not using the RKO until ER. Â It's such a unique situation, yet that would have segued perfectly. Â Calamity.
Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted April 21, 2015 Awards Moderator Share Posted April 21, 2015 It wasn't his opponents' finishers, but using other people's was part of Eugene's act, he used the Rock Bottom and the Stunner and all sorts, didn't he? Something in the back of my mind is telling me he did, yet I dont know where I'm getting it from. Â Possibly. I vaguely remember an interview with Nova, who used it for a while, where he claimed that he and Daniels both invented the move on their own with no influence from the other. I think it was on the old ECW page when Nova was doing the "InNOVAtor" schtick so was hardly likely to admit to nicking it. Â So, aye, he probably did invent it. Â Not sure if this has ever been done before or if it even makes any sense but has a wrestler ever specialised in using an opponents finisher before? E.g. Rollins would use his opponents finisher every match instead of one of his own? Â It was part of Lance Storm's gimmick in ECW.
andrew "the ref" coyne
Didnt Christopher Daniels invent the Roll of the Dice? Or am I making that up? Something in the back of my mind is telling me he did, yet I dont know where I'm getting it from. I remember reading a story that ECW's Nova came up with the move, but then saw Daniel's using it (who he referred to as the greater of the last rites), so never debuted it out of a) respect for the move and b) the possibilities of Daniel's coming to ECW. Â Just a random side story, but it's probably this story that makes me think that Daniel's was the originator.
The Cutting Edge
Speaking of finishers, I wonder what Finn Balor will use when he gets the call up cause I cant see the top rope foot stomp getting the green light, I reckon given his look and size he'd be good using an Eddie style Frog Splash, dunno why but I can see him doing it. Amazing_Red_Fan
Apparently Batista was saying at the Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere that he'd like to return to WWE on a live events only, Chris Jericho type deal. Here's what he said:  I talked to Chris Jericho recently and he does a lot of untelevised events. And I think I might take that path and do untelevised events, because the television you’re just too locked in, too locked with scripts that arent that great these days. I just want to go back and entertain the fans.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted April 22, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted April 22, 2015 (edited) Does he still live in London? Hopefully he's part of next European tour, I'd buy a ticket to see him and his bejeweled leather vest again. WyattSheepMask
He'll be over here in February when the Guardians of the Galaxy sequal starts filming. The new Bond is still filming also so he may still be over here for the time being

The new Bond is still filming also so he may still be over here for the time being O/T but GotG 2 will not film here. I think it is the other Pinewood facilities this time
WyattSheepMask
Could have sworn I'd read that they were filming in London again. Either way, I wouldn't be opposed to Big Dave just doing the odd live show. He last TV run was a bit of a letdown, partly due to being stuck with Del Rio for a bit and not being Daniel Bryan
honor87
According to wrestlezone, fat boy takeshi morishima has retired from NOAH. I guess they must be pretty dead as a promotion after Kenta leaving for wwe and all the old timers retiring.
