Ghostface1982
I've not seen The Green Lantern yet either, don't fancy that at all. Looks like a shit CGI fest. Â Find that a strange decision as well to be honest though.

patiirc
Trailers always seem to go through cycles of using similar music. There was a period about 5 years ago when every trailer used classical score and every other one seemed to use the Gladiator score. Â The Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story theme was the go to for trailers at one point.

Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted November 30, 2011 Author Paid Members Share Posted November 30, 2011 Concept art for The Lizard in the new Spider-Man film. Â Â Lots of people complaining that his face is too human, I see their point but I'll wait to see how he looks in the movie before I judge it. Â Don't even know if it's CGI or a costume yet, I hope it's makeup. Â I also hope he wears a lab coat in the film, he looks weird naked. Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted January 4, 2012 Author Paid Members Share Posted January 4, 2012 Bradley Cooper rumored as the new Lex Luthor  click for article  Only a rumour but I'd like to see this happen, I don't really like Cooper but he's pretty charismatic and was voted sexiest man in the world which I think would make for an interesting new Luthor. I feel he's meant to be more like that than the funny grumpy old wanker he's been on screen before.  I really hope he's bald though, it's only a small thing but with Superman's new suit & Clark Kent not wearing glasses (how the fuck will that work) Luthor with hair would be a step too different I think. He needs to be older and physically smaller than Superman. Totally agree with him needing to be bald though (although Gene Hackman is a great curly haired Lex)  Whats all this about Clark not having glasses? Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted January 4, 2012 Author Paid Members Share Posted January 4, 2012 (edited) I'm hoping the Clark/no glasses thing is more along the lines of Superman being such an intense fast powerful mysterious being that people don't really see his face for long enough to recognise him as opposed to the Chris Reeve Superman who would happily give interviews stating his weaknesses to Kryptonite and lead while smiling for photos and giving hair samples to museums. Â For me that bearded Luthor belongs with Superman's mullet in the bin of awful 90s Superhero things to be forgotten! Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted August 8, 2012 Author Paid Members Share Posted August 8, 2012 Because a couple of people suggested the movie news thread was getting clogged with Superhero shit I've posted this in here, feel free to post other Superhero movie thoughts in here, or in one of the other movie threads, who gives a shit. We just had a 3 page thread about one shit 15 year old Batman film so anything is possible.   Anyway I'll stick this in here  Ben Affleck wanted for Justice League film Apparently he's the only director being shown the script.  from Aintitcool.com  Nordling here. As Ron Burgundy can attest, like milk on a hot summer day, this is a bad choice. Okay, it's not bad for JUSTICE LEAGUE, but it would be bad for Ben Affleck, who, frankly, is better than this as a director at this point. Variety is reporting that Warner Brothers wants Affleck to direct their JUSTICE LEAGUE movie, and possibly to star in it as well.  With the Whedon announcement on AVENGERS 2 yesterday, WB must be very antsy indeed to get this franchise off the ground. Reports are that Affleck is the only director that the studio is showing Will Beall's script to right now, and he should be talking with the upper management in the next few days about the project, if the article is accurate.  Here's the thing - I think Affleck's too good for this. As a director, he's made some fantastic movies. His next, ARGO, looks to continue with that streak. As much as I'd like to see a good JUSTICE LEAGUE movie, so far the gritty movies that Affleck has made don't seem to have that kind of vibe.  Honestly? WB should build up and have Ben Affleck direct the Batman reboot. Have Affleck direct a new Batman movie with his own personal stamp, away from Nolan's and build from that. Perhaps something similar to the animated series? Affleck's directorial skills would work in that way, in my opinion. Wait a few years and build the roster up. Sure, Marvel did it already with THE AVENGERS, but they were SMART in doing that - it wasn't a gimmick. People had become familiar with the characters, and more importantly, with the actors playing them. I think it would be smart to do the same with JUSTICE LEAGUE. But, if the script works, Ben Affleck may want to go ahead, and if so, more power to him. He's a terrific director, and he's earned a major franchise like this.   I'm down, I'd love to see a Justice League movie, I think the characters are just as good as the Avengers, better in fact in most cases, I'd hate to see it rushed though DC have a terrible track record and rushing it out is the wrong choice. Ben Affleck seems to have his head on straight though and if he did it I think it would be pretty different from the Avengers, hopefully not too serious and realistic though., the Avengers wasn't embarrassed to be a big, fun comic book movie and this shouldn't either.  I'm all for a new interpretation of the characters after The Dark Knight Rises which I fucking hated.
