Ro_y Disco Posted March 26, 2025 Posted March 26, 2025 Funk's book is fantastic, a really fun read. I personally really enjoyed the later chapters where he talks about his experiences with Juggalos/ICP. I recently read Becky Lynch's autobiography and thought it was great. I enjoyed the humour and writing style (although it might not be to everyone's taste) so that would be my suggestion as you'll be able to easily get it at Waterstones. Quote
kidzero Posted March 27, 2025 Posted March 27, 2025 Has anyone ever read Pain and Passion: The History of Stampede Wrestling I have two copies of it in my wrestling cupboard but only ever flicked through it but from what I've read I enjoyed I'll get to it eventually. Quote
TibBo Posted March 27, 2025 Posted March 27, 2025 I’ve read it, really enjoyed it! Goes in-depth on the highs and lows of Stu harts life, from living in a canvas tent on the prairies, to having multiple Cadillacs and a huge mansion. It is a great accompaniment to Bret and Dynamites books if you enjoyed them? I haven’t managed to track down the Bushwackers one yet, but I bet Luke has some good stories with how long he has been in the business Quote
kidzero Posted March 27, 2025 Posted March 27, 2025 I bought the The bushwhackers off Amazon UK..I have a lot of wrestling autobiographies most of which I've yet to read I read dynamites a couple of times I bought when it first came out 20 odd years ago...I've Bruce harts book too I'm tempted by Marc meros new book just to read the WCW and WWE stuff and I was a big fan of Johnny b badd and the wild man when I was a teenager. TibBo Posted March 27, 2025 Posted March 27, 2025 I have a feeling Bruce’s might be mostly fiction? lol Quote

I was tempted to give it a read just to see how much nonsense is in there, I’m willing to bet that every major moment in wrestling is a variation on something he had done previously, but I don’t know if anything could top the moment in Hogan’s first book where he says he took steroids because someone told him they were safer than sugar and his logic was “well I have sugar all the time” Edited March 28, 2025 by WyattSheepMask Quote
The Reverend Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 I do love a good wrestling book, but some of these upcoming releases are getting silly: * Hell in Boots - Saraya Jade Bevis * The Last Hart Beating - Nattie Neidhart * Life is Fighting - Karrion Kross * Say Hello to the Bad Guys: How Professional Wrestling's New World Order Changed America *Bigger, Better, Badder: Wrestlemania 3 and the year it all changed Quote

Not sure how much new information can be gleamed from that period but I'll definitely pick it up when it goes to paperback. Quote

She was born into a wrestling family and has been working since she was 13. Obviously there is all the crazy stuff that happened in her adult life too. If she is honest and open about it then it could be quite the read. I just always associate 'Hell in Boots' with Klondyke Kate, however. Minor thing. Quote
The Reverend Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 In fairness I've just read the first 3 chapters of Saraya's on Amazon, and it wasn't too bad. I will pick that one up. I'll also probably pick up the Wrestlemania 3 book as it's ol' Keith Elliot Greenberg, and I quite like his writing and that era of the WWF. Quote

Its written by Marc Raimondi, longtime MMA journalist and current NFL reporter. Always liked Raimondi as a personality so I'll be checking out his book. Quote
CL Punk Posted June 13, 2025 Posted June 13, 2025 I saw this on twitter and I had to share it - Someone Like You: a heart-warming MM romance eBook : Faber, Kayla: Amazon.co.uk: Kindle Store It's a wrestling romance fan fiction and the writer's name is K. Faber. Quote
Sheffbag Posted June 29, 2025 Posted June 29, 2025 Is Bruno’s book worth chucking 30 notes at or is it all kayfabe Quote
TibBo Posted August 17, 2025 Posted August 17, 2025 I’m 12 chapters into the Wrestlemania 3 book by Keith Elliot Greenberg, and so far there has been no mention of Wrestlemania 3. It’s currently going through all the usual stuff about Vince taking over the territories etc. The only thing keeping me going at this point is the morbid curiosity of when it is actually going to get to the subject matter. TibBo Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 They have just started talking about Wrestlemania 3 in the aforementioned book. It is chapter 21. Shocking. Quote
