I have one mate that's into them, but he loves hip hop and djent so it makes sense. They're not for me at all but I'm so far out of the "mainstream" of music that I'm not likely to ever really encounter their stuff.

I saw them at Leeds Arena last year and they absolutely blew me away. It was probably the only time I've seen a band in such a large venue where I was glad it wasn't somewhere smaller. Their production was incredible.

I met two of Sleep Token in the queue to collect our artist passes the year we played Bloodstock the same year they headlined the Sophie stage. Couldn't tell you which two like. The music isn't for me but they're nice lads which counts more.

I don't mind Sleep Token.

Hypnosis, Jaws, Alkaline etc basically have them as the Continuity Linkin Park for me which I think is a perfectly valid place on the card of a metal festival. 

Fair dues they're pushing it a bit but it does seems like each successive generation has their "But is it really metal?" band (If Sleep Token weren't around Ghost would probably have the title despite doing some of the most derivative metal imaginable) and I usually like those bands and find it slightly amusing how suckered people are by aesthetic rather than sonics because there's no other way I could explain back in the day old fuckers camped out in deck chairs telling me Slipknot weren't heavy, Priest? Now that was heavy. 

Anyway, they're fine. I wouldn't listen to a full album. The big, slow, pretentious interludes aren't for me either and it seems like they're surely going to keep going that way and get worse and worse. 

They're no Coal Chamber.

New Wolf Alice is pretty good as well, if moving away from rock to a more commercially mainstream sound.

Corrosion of Conformity and Napalm Death have been announced as the headliners for Damnation 2025.

Also announced today were Amenra and Ted Maul, who are back to play a one off show. 
12 more acts still to be announced

Saw Amenra at Desertfest this weekend and they were everything I wanted them to be. Would jump on a chance to see them again. 

Same goes for Zeal & Ardor. Wasn't familiar with them and they absolutely crushed it.

Don't know how many have seen but Adam Ramey from dropout king's has passed away losing his battle with mental health at the unacceptable age of 31.

My immediate thought was "Fuck yes, lets go to Dublin for the weekend" and then I've looked and it's five or six hundred quid for a hotel and probably the same on tickets. So I'm sad no and probably just won't go.
