Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted October 17, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted October 17, 2016 Emily Blunt, Thora Birch, Anna Friel...the upper echelon of upper lip, Chokey. My ex had one of them lips, but she dumped me and my light green Nissan Micra with pink writing that said 'Mauritius' for a gentleman 15 years our senior, who was loaded and drove an Audi. I loved that upper lip.
wordsfromlee
Anyone watch The Crystal Maze last night? I really liked it. Thought Stephen Merchant was brilliant. Always been a big fan of his. Liked his stand up and his HBO show.
deathrey
I enjoyed it. I thought Stephen Merchant did a good job, if they ever do bring the show back permenantly, he'd be a great host. Edited October 17, 2016 by deathrey
Keith Houchen
Wasn't it for cancer? I thought Merchant was doing a hilarious Gervais joke with his chemo head.
deathrey
It was for cancer awareness. The bald head was in tribute to Richard O'Brien who made an appearance at the beginning. Edited October 18, 2016 by deathrey

Guest
Â Explosion during state of the union, so the designated survivor kept elsewhere becomes president. I'm enjoying it so far. Â I am, but it's soooo dated. It's like HBO never happened. The pacing and editing reminds me of Prison Break: lots of jarring music cues, shady villainous types sneering in doorways and glossy sheen everywhere. In 2002 this show would've been cutting edge, now it seems like a time capsule. Yeah it's not the greatest show ever, but finding it a good enough watch. Â Watched Glitch on Netflix over last few days. 6 people come back to life in a rural Australian town, and they all have different stories they are trying to solve. Only 6 episodes, so short, but enjoyed it.

No.  No.   There's never been a good adaptation of any Pratchett work. Especially the Sky stuff. Even when the casting is nailed on, the execution is lumbering and disjointed. I have some hope about Rhianna's forthcoming TV adaptation though...

Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted October 18, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted October 18, 2016 Genuinely, hand on plums thought yiz meant the singer Rihanna, and I thought that was such an odd, random production pairing, so I googled it. I'm with yiz now.

DavidB6937
Finally tried Fleabag last night and was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It's a weird mash up of Peep Show and Bridget Jones I suppose. Anyway I'm looking forward to watching the rest when I get a chance.
