Merzbow
Â Just watching the latest ep and had to put the subs on... I listen to similar music and even i ain't got a clue at times.
Paid Members Dead Mike Posted August 7, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 7, 2015 That show is murder to subtitle but it's hilarious to me because I actually know so many people who are actually like the characters in it.  When I wrote the OP I thought the only people on here who'd have likely seen it would be you & Chest.   I just hope they carry on giving Steves some more time on the show, he's great.  'A drug problem? Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted August 7, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 7, 2015 I saw a couple random episodes at a mate's house the other week actually and loved it.. Looking forward to watching it all properly.
Mr_Danger
The Goldbergs- Its my new favourite family shitcom to watch, fuck it, it's not even a shitcom its just a really enjoyable hit of nostalgia that's clearly been created with more heart than these things usually are. Â To be fair it's still pretty fresh to me and might turn to shit once the nostalgia wears off. It's certainly no Malcolm in the Middle (what is?) but it's a good step above The Middle and shite like Oliver Beene. I'd place it alongside Everybody Hates Chris. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted August 8, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 8, 2015 I've been watching it and enjoying it a lot too recently. I've always liked George Segal.
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted August 9, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) I've been watching it and enjoying it a lot too recently. I've always liked George Segal. I fancy the mum more than the beautiful teenage daughter, it's never happened to me before, I must be getting old. Paid Members Jaffa Posted August 9, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 9, 2015 At 2:30pm, Channel 4 are showing the Hank Scorpio episode of The Simpsons. Â Just a heads up.
King Pitcos
I was posting about People Just Do Nothing over a year ago, and none of you engaged. Second series isn't quite as good as the first, but still the best British comedy going.

I listen to similar music and even i ain't got a clue at times. Ha. Yes, this was me. I could have possibly spent the time to work out what he was saying but I just wanted to finish and doss for the last two hours of my shift. Figured the proofers would have tried to make sense of it, but obviously not.
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted August 10, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 10, 2015 (edited) Bill Hader is the new Captain in Brooklyn nine-nine. As much as I love Holt, bill hader is great in everything I've seen him in and I'm looking forward to it. I won't change my avatar just yet though. Mr_Danger
Ah shit, I was hoping that Holt would be back. Bill Hader is very good though. It'll probably be one of those roles that gets freshened up every couple of seasons now. It'll be Will Ferrell by 2018. Â A bit of fantasy booking but I'd absolutely love Danny McBride as a series regular on '99, preferably as a rogue cop who gets shit done but crime lord works just as well. Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted August 10, 2015 Awards Moderator Share Posted August 10, 2015 I must admit, I was fully expecting Holt to be brought back in within a few episodes. Why's the actor leaving?
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted August 10, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 10, 2015 I must admit, I was fully expecting Holt to be brought back in within a few episodes. Why's the actor leaving? Is it a given that he's not still going to be in it with his new job? I don't see why he couldn't be. Either way I think a new Captain is a great idea. Awards Moderator HarmonicGenerator Posted August 10, 2015 Awards Moderator Share Posted August 10, 2015 I suppose that's true. It just all seemed very final and, I dunno, conclusive at the end of the most recent episode, which has made me wonder if he isn't going to be around. organizedkaos
Andre Braugher (Holt) isn't going to leave the show. It's just your standard sitcom / light drama cliffhanger where they'll restore the status quo as best possible within a few episodes. Hader's coming on as a guest star not as a new regular.
