Mr.Showtime
Just watched back Taker v Flair from WrestleMania X8. At the end, Taker couldn't get Flair up for the Last Ride (or Flair was trying his hardest not to take it), then Taker just whipped him up and Tombstoned him instead. It looked (to me) like it was supposed to end with a Last Ride. Would Taker have decided not to try it a second time, or was Flair angling to be finished off with a proper Mania finisher? Guest
In flairs book he says he fucked up when taker was trying to lift him. So taker switched it to an easier move

Paid Members Your Fight Site Posted August 9, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 9, 2015 What is this "Brass Ring" I keep seeing pop up in conversation lately?
Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted August 9, 2015 Awards Moderator Share Posted August 9, 2015 "Brass ring" is a quote from Vince McMahon when he was on the Stone Cold podcast Network show in January. When discussing Cesaro he used him as an example of a wrestler who needs to "grab the brass ring" and step up to the next level.
AshC
From Wiki: "A brass ring is a small grabbable ring that a dispenser presents to a carousel rider during the course of a ride. Usually there are a large number of iron rings and one brass one, or just a few. It takes some dexterity to grab a ring from the dispenser as the carousel rotates. The iron rings can be tossed at a target as an amusement. Typically, getting the brass ring gets the rider some sort of prize when presented to the operator. The prize often is a free repeat ride. The phrase to grab the brass ring is derived from this device".

Paid Members stumobir Posted August 9, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 9, 2015 Steve Blackman runs a MMA gym I believe, or he did for a while at least. Doubt he had any competitive fights though.
