He hates Trump and Elon too. Can't see him going all anti woke on a new Austin Powers, I'd expect they lean more into just how out of touch the character is. He’s had cameos as Musk on SNL in the last couple of years. Quote
Kfogg1991 Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Went to the cinema to watch toy story 5 with the kids last night which makes the last 3 seen in a actual cinema (I very rarely go to cinemas my anxiety and autism makes me struggle people loudly eating or talking through the film so it's super rare times I do it) but it delivered and the story was so right with how everything is for kids making it the main story to try and make them play together instead of online which is something I believe in. Most shocking they used jesse as the main character to use for the toys which I hated when it started because she's one of my least favourite main characters but absolute home run and made me cry at the end. Seriously recommended it's better than 4 IMO however this needs to be the last the end was absolutely perfect doing more would weaken and seem like a money movie instead of the whole package Quote

Not seen 5 yet. But there will definitely be a sixth film. They said they want to do a Bonnie trilogy. Plus, doesn’t matter if it would be good. It’s as you said, a money movie. It’s guaranteed no matter the quality. Quote
Mr_Danger Posted June 25 Posted June 25 3 was the one I enjoyed the most and the perfect ending. Any baby shit that makes this red blooded alpha feel feelings is approved by me and them accepting their fate as they head in to that furnace awoken something in me that I hadn’t felt for years. Suspension of disbelief. I believed those fuckers were gonna die for a moment. They can make them forever as far as I’m concerned, it’s diminishing returns but if they’re making money and the kids still enjoy them that’s fine. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted June 25 Paid Members Posted June 25 Toy Story 3 and Up were great films but coming out back to back made me stop watching Pixar films in the Cinema and I haven’t watched either of them back since. I caught some other Pixar bits on TV here and there in the years after like Toy Story 4, Monsters University and Seeing Red, but never by choice. It will be a wildly unpopular opinion but those two back to back just gave me the feeling Pixar were making films to make adults cry rather than making films for kids that adults can enjoy. Going to see Pixar films became massively unappealing because it was just “ok how is this one going to try and get me to cry” and I couldn’t be bothered with that. Especially now I’m older and married, the thought of watching the first 20 minutes of Up again is just a straight no. Quote
WyattSheepMask Posted June 25 Posted June 25 (edited) 3 was absolutely the time to end it from a story perspective, but it’s no surprise to have them still making them if they’re still making money. 3 also looks incredible and has a CGI Totoro, so it’s the best in the series for me (although I have yet to see 5) I didn’t mind 4, but it felt like a film that in previous years would’ve gone straight to video rather than getting a cinema release. It’s fine as a film, but I wouldn’t be bothered if I hadn’t seen it Edited June 25 by WyattSheepMask Quote
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted June 25 Paid Members Posted June 25 Partysaurus Rex is the best film that came out after number 3. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted Wednesday at 07:53 AM Posted Wednesday at 07:53 AM This is a wonderful watch. He hasn't changed at all. An all timer really. "Why haven't you sat down like this in so long?" "I've been busy" No Tom. We all know why you haven't sat down like this in so long. It's because no one has a fucking clue what you're talking about. Quote
