Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted September 6, 2013 Paid Members Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) Looks a total rejig of the first one in 1987. I imagine no Basil Poledouris soundtrack too. Is that Michael Keaton? Count me out on this one. Edited September 6, 2013 by bAzTNM#1 Quote
patiirc Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Robocop remake trailer Not quite as terrible as I expected. Check out the cast, it's a phone-in-o-rama. And I'm going to be killed for saying it, but I like the ED-209 design. Saw that this morning, cant quite put my finger on it, but I'm not feeling it. Everything is too clean and sleak and dare I say it sterile. The original was gritty dark and dank, this is almost too polished from the trailer. The CGI'd suit looks better than the leaked photos from earlier on though Quote

Paid Members Egg Shen Posted September 6, 2013 Paid Members Posted September 6, 2013 my mates have had a field day dissing the new Robocop, to me the trailer looks pretty good and im enthused by the director they've got in place. They are all like 'they've destroyed Robocop!' and my response to that is, didn't you see the sequels, tv show and cartoon they made. Quote
Vamp Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 For some reason I was under the impression that Hugh Laurie was meant to be in Robocop as a baddie? Is that not the case. Quote
Daaaaaad! Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) He was replaced by Keaton. Edited September 6, 2013 by Dingbat Quote

Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted September 11, 2013 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2013 Today marks the 10th Anniversary of John Ritter's death. Seems crazy it was that long ago, I guess the fact I keep watching old episodes of 8 Simple Rules just masks how long ago it was. I know he was known a lot more for his TV stuff and some of his films were utter dud's (though I did love Problem Child and It) but it did seem the most sensible place to put this. Quote
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted September 11, 2013 Moderators Posted September 11, 2013 I always remember him for Three's Company, but that was before your time (and I'm 99% certain it would be shit on rewatching it now). It, obviously, was great. Also, I would expect it to be a bit shit, but I would definitely like to watch Stay Tuned again as I watched it as a kid. I seem to remember it has Captain Lou Albano in it as well. Quote
Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted September 11, 2013 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2013 I've seen Three's Company quite a bit and while it doesn't hold up against quite a few shows from that time, it isn't that bad. Probably my sense of TV taste though. Quote
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted September 11, 2013 Paid Members Posted September 11, 2013 John Ritter is excellent in Slingblade with Billy Bob Thornton, I had no idea he could act til I saw that performance. Quote
