The Gaffer Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Second Robert Smith for people still going strong. If we're going with the dearly departed, Keith Flint was universally considered one of the nicest blokes on the planet. Quote
Paid Members hallicks Posted July 28 Paid Members Posted July 28 (edited) I bumped into Ray Parlour almost 20 years ago. He was lovely, even after I tried to congratulate him for Stefan Schwarz’s goal against Fiorentina in the Cup Winners Cup. Edited July 28 by hallicks Pal Lydersen Quote

James Blunt tells a lovely story about Keith Flint where Blunt was at the Brit Awards (or some other thing) and all the top Britpop/indie bands were all rude to him, shunned him and refused to be in photos with him (such as Damon Albarn) but when he bumped into Keith Flint he immediately gave Blunt a huge hug like they were best mates (it was the first time they had met), congratulated him and told him how happy he was for his success and they had a lovely drink together. If there's an opposite to this thread, Albarn's in it. Quote
Paid Members ReturnOfTheMack Posted July 28 Paid Members Posted July 28 Misha Collins seems like damned good egg, and Id be very disappointed to find otherwise. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted July 28 Paid Members Posted July 28 Damon Albarn did a Q&A thing at PRYZYM in Kingston either last year or the year before and I have it on good authority from a mate who works at the venue that he almost cancelled the show because he said the chair they had set up for him wasn't comfy enough and the venue had to go and buy a specific £2000 chair that his team requested the day of. Merzbow Posted July 28 Posted July 28 He got Uncle Acid booted off a festival recently for being "too loud", the soft fanny. Quote
The Gaffer Posted July 28 Posted July 28 Graham Coxon and post-coke Dave Rowntree at a push are the only acceptable members of Blur. Weller was in that horrible pile-on of James Blunt too at the time. All the Official Cool people, basically. Like a classic Big Brother smokers gang who think they're the shit and all get voted out in the first month. Quote
Paid Members Cod Eye Posted July 28 Paid Members Posted July 28 (edited) Got a friend who works for a company that provides PA services for celebs when on tour(or are away from home). She says the 3 that stands out for her are Alice Cooper("So educated and polite"), Tom Hardy("just a cool, down to earth bloke who despite what some of the reports say") and Corey Taylor("cool....as....fuck"). There will be more, but those are the 3 opinions that stuck in my head. Edit, these are just one persons opinion. Not saying its gospel) Edited July 28 by Cod Eye Quote

I always thought he seemed well sound. He drunkenly asked me for a light outside a very posh restaurant in Weybridge once, he looked an absolute state and STILL very handsome. Quote
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted July 28 Paid Members Posted July 28 I came here to hear about nice sorts, and now people are bringing up Damon Albarn? Quote
