If they were adamant at making Oba/Brock a trilogy they fact they didn't put Oba over all three times is crazy, especially considering the guy writing the show, HHH, did EXACTLY that with Batista in 2005. Jobbed to him at Mania, jobbed to him at a subsequent pay-per-view, and then laid down for him in Hell In A Cell. It was right there! He was involved in it himself! It should have been one and done but if it had to be three, why the fuck did he not just follow his own blueprint!? Crazy!

Aldis vs Gunther- I went from appreciating how close of a rip off the WWE AI music generator was willing to do for Aldis’ theme tune to utter disbelief that they had actually used the real thing. If his return to the ring is more than a one and done then I’d suggest we’ll soon find out what that rip off version will sound like. The match itself was fine. Gunther always makes the most of very little and Aldis has that generic wwe look and style down pat and it was a satisfying watch.

Punk vs Cody- Boring start and ridiculous moonsault attempt aside the biggest bummer about this match was the lack of chemistry they have. Punk has great matches with almost anyone and Cody does the big match WWE style better than most but everything about this match up screams awkward and forced. On the mic, in the story and between the ropes.

Oba vs Brock- By the numbers and felt like it achieved nothing. Wasn’t special enough for Brock to go out on and didn’t really build up Oba more than he already has been. Probably should have let Oba annihilate him or something.

This is where the old style WWF/WWE schedule worked. If this was then Punk and Cody would have worked countless live events against each other by the time SummerSlam rolled around and, theoretically, had any chemistry issues worked out.

With two guys like that where they've been around for decades and both at the top of their game - they shouldn't need countless live events to sort anything out because there shouldn't be 'chemistry issues'.

Eh? Of course they would. The more you wrestler each other the better your chemistry would be, that's not hard to understand. 

To say that because they're both two of the biggest wrestlers in the world they should automatically have a decent match (which I actually thought it was) and have chemistry is wrong in my opinion.

Maybe, but even wrestlers with many years under their belts can have chemistry issues. Bret Hart, for instance, wrote in his book that he and Ric Flair lacked chemistry with each other. 

If you have never wrestled someone you have no way of knowing whether you have a chemistry and synchronicity with each other. Sometimes you just click, sometimes it develops over time and sometimes it never happens. Even if you have wrestled before, if it has been a long time or it was only once or twice, the chemistry may not be there.

Kevin Nash said that he, Scott Hall and Shawn Michaels worked with or against each other so much between 1993 and 1996 that they could just look at each other and know what they were going to do. 

It's not a one-size-fits-all solution, but it only makes sense that the more you work with someone the more you get to know how they work and vice versa.

IC title match and Sami vs Finn are the only matches I would be interested in watching. Honking card. Think I'll watch Summerslam 2000 instead.

Punkstep made a good point of it being "OK" as its not his move which I'm alright with.

It's not for me either but I don't mind that explanation.

The whole point of the match is to weaken the opponent so your big move finishes them off. A tombstone on wood should finish an opponent off for sure but if it doesn’t the next big thing has a far greater chance of doing the job as the opponent is significantly weaker now. Not that you should apply logic to finishers.
