Remember when there being 48 teams was the biggest issue for the tournament? There's also the fact that, with the way the US government is run right now, there would almost certainly end up being several incidents of ICE kidnapping and detaining attendees and/or players, then doubling down at any outrage. It’s our first time experiencing a “Trump America” and it was ridiculous how entitled everyone seemed to be - far more than a few years ago. Madueke doesn't deserve to be questioned IMO, there's not another right-sided player who is better than him or in better form to go along with Saka. Hall is very unlucky. He's done more than enough. I think we have 50 really good players so there's an argument for most of them but I just don't think Gibbs-White is better or a bigger threat than Bellingham, Rogers or Eze. Being ultra-critical, I think he's got a bit of big-fish-small-pond about him too. Would have loved to see him in the Spurs team this season for real evaluation. Quote

He should absolutely be going to the World Cup. Its mad that England now have very good options in the (ugh) 10 role but terrible winger options. He'll probably play Henderson on the wing. This cracked me up. Still, not as bad as the Germany squad, who will probably go on and win it now. Quote
