Rampage Jackson's son might have killed someone at an indy show

From what I've read, as part of an angle at the start of the show the wrestler hit Jackson with a fake beer can. Jackson didn't realise it was a work, told another wrestler backstage that he wasn't happy with what happened and that other wrestler told Jackson to give the guy a receipt. So when he went back out to the ring later on in the show for the planned confrontation and beatdown, he went overboard on the receipt and beat the guy half to death.

Theres a video of Rampage Jackson finding out about the incident during the middle of a live stream. He basically just shrugs it off and is only concerned about his son getting banned from the promotion. 

I also saw that Rampage said in an interview a couple of weeks ago that he has "set aside college tuition money for his Japanese kids and bail money for Raja".

The best case scenario here is that he’s just using this to get people to tune in to his podcast. Which would still obviously be shitty, to use this situation for his own gain. Surely he’s not gonna actually defend this shit.

There’s a part missing from this in which there are 3 separate videos of the wrestler apologising which Raja accepts and they shake hands.

Okay, this seems all kinds of carny bullshit.

Jackson didn't realise it was a work? So you are telling one of your wrestlers to hit a guy over the head with a fake beer can and not informing the guy getting hit?
Or is Raj just an idiot (which appears the most likely answer)? Why was Jackson there in the first place?
Who the fuck is the other wrestler telling this guy to go out and "give the guy a receipt"?
At what point was the beatdown and confrontation planned if Jackson was not aware the first part was a work?

Absolutely reprehensible actions by Jackson, no doubt, but the other worker telling him to give the guy a receipt and the promotion have to ask themselves why they are involving a clueless MMA guy in their stuff, (apparently) not cluing him in to an angle they were doing and then having one of the wrestlers hype him up to give the guy a receipt.

Very disappointing, but not entirely surprising. It's more surprising when a wrestler from before the 2010s shows any kind of principle and decency.

It was worse than him 'defending' Hogan tbh. He went on some mad rant where he came across as very ill-informed about issues relating to race. I seem to remember him saying something along the lines of 'If a black family doesn't want their kid marrying a white person, that should be OK too' and going on about how Hulk's racism scandal really isn't worse than rappers talking about how they love to cheat on women etc. He's been a lot more 'Cancel me? You can't cancel me!' when talking about various topics of late. 

It's a shame. I've always really liked RVD, both as a wrestler and someone who typically came across as well-spoken and engaging in interviews. I guess all that CTE and thirty years of constant weed smoking may have finally fried his brain. 

On the subject of this Raja Jackson business, it's completely indefensible whichever way you look at it. End of.

I’ve always thought over the years that I wish the likes of Heenan, Perfect, Rude, Pillman etc were still around in the day of podcasts. But then almost every wrestler who goes that route on a regular basis ends up outing themselves as a complete twat with weird or fucked up views. So maybe it’s best we didn’t find out too much more about those guys. Shoot interviews revealed some dickheads but not as much because they were just talking about their career, specific matches and stuff. The ones doing regular podcasts are where the real brain dead views come out though because they’ve got so much time to fill week to week they end up talking about stuff they’re completely ill-informed or warped on. So many of these guys have spent their whole life in the ‘pro wrestling bubble’ and it often becomes clear they should just stay there because whenever they talk about anything other than wrestling, pure shite comes out.

I wonder what RVD’s views would’ve been on this Raja assault if it had been one of his friends nearly getting killed out there. Like imagine if this had happened to an old broken down Sabu. I’m sure RVD would be singing a different song now. It’s ridiculous. He’s probably just doing it to engagement farm, which is even sadder really. But if he really thinks what happened is justified, he’s way more fucked up in the head than I thought. The whole ‘receipt’ bollocks can get in the bin. Surely he waived the right to that when he shook hands with this Stu fella and accepted one of his multiple apologies. To pretend it’s all cool and then do what he did was the biggest bitch move of all time. Which I’m sure was the total opposite of the ‘badass’ he wanted to come across as. And even if some form of receipt was justified (it wasn’t), a light tap on the head with a can compared to attempted murder is a tad disproportionate right? I’d say I can’t wait to hear how RVD tries to spin this as a warranted response from Jackson but I doubt I’ll bother listening to him droning on about ‘I’m hard me, pick a hand, did you know I smoke weed?’ bollocks while he bangs on about ‘fuck around find out’ or whatever angle he’s running with.
