Most men reach that acceptance in time. It's actually a credit to Hogan's stubbornness that he clung to those wispy locks all the way to the end, tbh... Still looked shit though. I can't remember who mentioned it, but there was something about how the long hair he had in later years were extensions, and away from the cameras he had it short; the long hair was purely for marketing/PR, as it was his established look. Yeah I heard that too. That was apparently why he always wore a bandana in public in the later years Quote
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted August 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 5, 2025 Should have just had them sewn into the bandana, like a novelty hat from the seaside. Quote
Paid Members BomberPat Posted August 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 5, 2025 I'm pretty sure that's basically what he had by the end. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted August 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 5, 2025 Craziest thing was how cheap the extensions looked. This man won over a hundred million in that Gawker lawsuit. Hair like a cheap knock-off Barbie doll from Poundland. Quote
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted August 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 5, 2025 If they bury him in all the gimmicks, as I'm sure they will, you'd be able to dig him up in a thousand years and still recognise him as Hulk Hogan. No way that hair is biodegradable. Truly Immortal. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted August 5, 2025 Members Posted August 5, 2025 The gang described him best. Quote

See to me this has become such an oft-repeated trope now that I find something sort of endearing and wholesome about mad old bastards who cling to their locks as long as possible. Especially in this day and age. It'd be deathly dull - for instance - if all the old dinosaur metal bands actually started listening to people telling them the whole Eurovision costuming doesn't work when you're a septuagenarian. The above definitely has nothing to do with the fact that I've noticed by own hair start to crawl back my head a little. Quote

SaitoRyo Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 The Hulkster's funeral was yesterday, with everyone from Vince McMahon and Kid Rock to Dennis Rodman and Bam Margera showing up for it. John Laurinaitis was also there and oh boy would I have loved to have been a fly on the wall for that. Quote
Ironic Indie Lad Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 Regarding the Hulksters bald head. Insanely it took years for me to realise he had gone bald. As a child I just assumed he deliberately styled it that way. Quote
