FUM Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 This tweet is spot on. They actually had an opportunity to look good for the fans and Trips still decided his ego was too fragile for that. Quote

Chico Torres Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 At least it meant a black man appeared on a WWE PLE Quote
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted June 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 8, 2025 I enjoyed the show, but really annoyed myself by doom-scrolling on my phone as I was watching and accidentally spoiling the R-Truth return before I'd seen it. What a fucking pop he got, though! A brilliant moment, I'm delighted for him. Like many here, I'm a bit gutted to see Rollins get the briefcase, but thought they did a great job with both ladder matches. Naomi was the right choice for the women's one. Genuinely couldn't' give a fuck what Triple H said in a pretend press conference after the show, I never bother to watch those things. I cannot for the life of me understand the mentality of people that won't have even watched the show, yet will watch clips of that and let themselves get upset about it. Quote
Paid Members gmoney Posted June 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 8, 2025 The crowd were pretty good all night, which is very rare for LA. I'm putting it down to the arena, because it's the Clippers arena and I love them. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted June 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 8, 2025 “We worked you into thinking we were a shitty, penny-pinching company, who fires your favourites, all so we can waste more of John Cena’s limited dates on crappy R-Truth matches.” Another belter from the Cerebral Assassin. Naomi was the right choice for the women's one. I was really pleased to see her win, she’s doing the best work of her career right now and deserves to be pushed accordingly. As far as the men’s match goes, I just couldn’t get into it. I didn’t feel excited or intrigued by the idea of any of the participants winning it, so even though it was a good match, I found it hard to care about what was going on. 42 minutes ago, Arch Stanton said: enjoyed the show, but really annoyed myself by doom-scrolling on my phone as I was watching and accidentally spoiling the R-Truth return before I'd seen it. I’m sure they could turn Truth/Cena into something interesting; but I’d feel more enthusiastic if the clock wasn’t ticking on Cena’s career. There are a whole host of people I’d like to see him wrestle before he hangs up his boots, but I’m a bit resigned to the fact that many of these matches likely won’t happen now. Quote
WyattSheepMask Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 (edited) Just put the show on and the Intuit Done is an awful venue. Because of all those lights between the seats it makes it look like there huge empty sections Edited June 8, 2025 by WyattSheepMask Quote
Snitsky's back acne Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 I genuinely smiled when R-Truth came back. Fuck all the haters - I was depressed as fuck that Seth Fuckin Rollins, probably the naffest, most annoying, "Go away" heat wrestler of modern times is going to be the champion on Monday so to see R-Truth return and get a big pop was a real feel-good moment for me. DavidB6937 Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 I enjoyed the ending. I can't really be arsed with company politics stuff or whatever these days because I don't have the head space for it so I'm pretty much just watching stuff I enjoy and keeping it at that. Pretty solid card overall. Glad they didn't drag out Jacob's turn for too long. He's not the patient turn type. All hail the iguana. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted June 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 8, 2025 (edited) That clip of American Made with the sponsored ladder backstage is amazing. This is the WWE Universe in 2025. Edited June 8, 2025 by Supremo Quote
Paid Members Statto Posted June 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 8, 2025 Thought it was really odd they put Octagon Jr on the main show, but didn't in any way acknowledge why he & Penta share so many visual motifs, have such a similar mask etc. Quote
TAFKA Jonny Vegas Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 Rollins winning it has to have been the most predictable (and shit) booking for a long time. That entire faction is a mess, Rollins has X-Pac heat (except I liked X-Pac), they don't need Heyman which makes him a waste, Bronson Reed struggles to look menacing when he's standing next to Paul Heyman - who he is the same height and build as. The only way for me that this could be salvaged into something that makes any sense is Bron Breakker turns on Rollins tomorrow as he tries to cash in, destroy's Reed as well and then I don't mind him being with Heyman at all. Have I missed something or is there any reason that makes storyline sense why the mens MITB can have two lengthy run its yet Jade Cargill just sits, watches and lets Naomi win? R-Truth was the highlight of the show. Mr Iguana was the highlight of the weekend and I've already been asked to make custom figures of him for my kids. Quote

Well for the same reasons Punk didn't stop Seth from winning i guess. Either they were both previously engaged and not there, or they're waiting to interfere in the cash ins and ruin it that way. They can explain it away however they want really. Quote
