thatvinylgeek Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 I thought Cody's tights were quite nice, that was about it Quote
Merzbow Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 The biggest feud in this company is Trips VS TKO, innit? Keep bringing on these weird as fuck decisions, guys. Quote
RedTwoster Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 The women’s Money in the Bank match was excellent, but outside of Ripley they were as well as to have the wrestlers all come out to the same song, they were so indistinguishable. I know it’s been said before, but I don’t understand how Def Rebel exists as a company when this is what they’re producing. They’d be better off using royalty free stock music than what is currently being produced. I’m half-wondering if WWE has done this in order to replace them with cheap, AI-generated music without getting much stick for it because it’ll be a step up. Are we actually going to get any of the Cena matches people want to see during this final run? Punk/Cena has never felt so distant. Then again, the next PPV is a Saudi sports-washing show, so I suppose I’m perfectly fine with them throwing a match like Cena/Truth on there. I won’t be watching it anyway. And Seth Rollins wins MITB once again. Seven words that I really didn’t want to be writing this morning. What else is there to even say about that? I expect he’ll cash in against Jey tomorrow either during or after the Gunther match, and Punk will prevent him from succeeding, just as @Supremo predicted earlier in the thread. Quote
thatvinylgeek Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 Talking of Punk....maybe this was Trips master plan all along, make the product white hot, entice punk bacm, and then make everything 2010 mediocre again and make him feud with Rollins for the rest of his life. I'd put nothing past his fragile ego... Quote

It's all shit... just leave Phil alone. He's about the only bright spark in the company (even if they are trying to hide that light under a Rollins bushel), and hasn't done anything too stupid personally. Leave us Punk, Gooshy. For goodness sake. Quote

NeverYield Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 Deep down however he tries to bluster his way through it I bet everyone involved feels really silly over this Truth turnout. 'All part of the show.' Course it was... Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted June 8, 2025 Members Posted June 8, 2025 I mean, I quite enjoyed that R Truth moment. Was a genuinely unexpected moment, and a great pop, and I'm really not arsed with how they got there or where it goes. Can't usually stand ladder matches, and especially not two on the same card, but both were really decent, and the mens built really well I thought. Cannot believe Andrade was in it though, christ. The best bit was when they got the FIREBALL ladder out and they started banging on about it. You can see Cole sort of crouching down and trying not to laugh as McAfee screams "the firebaaaalllll ladder" so they really know its all a load of nonsense as well and are leaning into the silliness. Made me laugh to be honest. Worst decision ever was to nickname Rhea Mami as you now have the commentators saying things like "Mummy is now on top" and "Here comes Mummy" which is just ridiculous and too funny. Sped through that in just over 2 hours and was well worth a watch. Quote
Chili Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 I think they fired Truth and then when they looked at all their analytics and stats he was probably one of the biggest things this week and they brought him back. MAGA Trips there is talking a load of bunkum and poppycock. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted June 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 8, 2025 Really enjoyed the women's MITB and I wish I'd said on here that Naomi was going to win before it so I could have looked cool. The quicker we get a proper Rhea Ripley vs Stephanie Vaquer match, the better. Everyone played their part. Giulia ain't gonna make it though. Becky vs Lyra was a cracking match but then I always enjoy Lyra's matches. Needs to work on her acting but hopefully they'll move her on to something or someone else next. Dirty Dom's borderline squash of Octogon Jr. amused me as much as it will probably infuriate others. Men's MITB was boring and predictable and only perked up when Jacob Fatu showed up. Fast-forwarded through the last match. Nice to see R-Truth back! Above average. Quote
Paid Members Your Fight Site Posted June 8, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 8, 2025 With the R-Truth “swerve”, all I can think about is how the others that were released feel. Carlito by his phone waiting for a call thinking, “My firing was just a work too, right? Right…?” Quote

So arrogant when everyone is in agreement the current WWE booking is verging on 2019 levels. Even the biggest WWE shills are not pretending the booking post Mania has been a mess. And Truth has come out and said his release wasn’t a work. One dirt sheet reporting it was Nick Khan in the end that managed to arrange a new contract a few days ago after Ron ignoring WWE calls all week. It just shows the incompetence there. HHH vs TKO indeed. Book it for Night 2 of Summerslam Quote
Chico Torres Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 Anyone journalists ask him about whether he had read the Janel Grant lawsuit yet at this press conference? Quote

How quickly we’ve turned back time. Maybe Truth will get his job back and they’ll redo the Matt Hardy/Edge angle. “John Cena! You bastard!...I’m gonna make your life miserable!...Come see me in PWG!” Who could have possibly predicted this. WWE on a creative downturn, with so little to get excited about on a surface level that the fans have to cling onto artificial moments of excitement when the shitty company pivots due to backlash?
