A very skippable event. I'll watch tomorrow at some point but it'll be more of the same for the MITB matches. I dread Becky winning. And I'm not sitting through that main event. I'll skip most of it and see if anything interesting happens at the end.

As usual with most WWE PPVs, looks very mediocre on paper and then it'll probably over-deliver hugely. So you can thank me for jinxing it when it's absolute crap.

How long do WWE PPVs run these days? 4 matches seems crazily low (I haven't watched any in years, this may be the norm).

Chances of Cena turning on Logan after the match? Fairly sure they teased tension last week, but this would then pull the plug on the heel turn, ready for the start of the final 6 months as an active wrestler?

4 matches and Netflix has midnight start time for MITB. 

The main card of the UFC PPV starts at 3am UK time. The WWE show will be over before that starts.

I know Cena's heel turn as been a bit lacklustre but what a waste of one of his final matches.

If nothing else, the match quality for Money in the Bank is always high. The one night of the year where they let everyone go bananas and take wild risks.

Funny that they’re doing UFC 316 on the same night. Like a Ghost of Christmas Future. Reckon WWE is as soulless and cynically designed for profit as possible? Have a glimpse of what’s to come!

Women’s Money in the Bank is the hardest to call. You assume Rhea wins it since she’s the biggest star, but I wouldn’t be shocked if they continue Stephanie Vaquer’s speed run and give the briefcase to her. Either way, Stephanie vs. Rhea feels like next year’s Wrestlemania match already. Should be good fun. Feels like anyone could win. PREDICTION: The Wyatts help Alexa Bliss win. They create a SPOOKY BRIEFCASE, which you can buy a replica of for three million dollars.

In contrast, Becky vs. Lyra is the most predictable match of the year. WWE trilogy booking 101. PREDICTION: Becky wins the Title, then loses it back in the rubber match at either Evolution or Summerslam, in some type of gimmick match. I don’t particularly rate Becky’s act, but there’s no denying that she’s elevated Lyra here. First real, substantial thing Lyra’s done on the main roster. They have great chemistry, too. Should be a good match.

Men’s Money in the Bank feels almost as predictable. I’m hoping I’m wrong and they go with someone surprising like LA Knight. Why not give it a go? It’s nothing short of a minor miracle that Knight’s still as over as he is. Capitalise. Give the people what they want. It’s not happening though, is it? The winner of this match is as predictable as Penta hitting the ladder-assisted Mexican Destroyer on Andrade. PREDICTION: Seth wins. He continues to be pushed as a top star. Business continues to suffer. As do I.

Saw a stat the other day that Seth first won Money in the Bank in 2014. Over a decade of this shitarse. Depressing.

Tag Match will be a real test of Cody and the agent’s abilities. Carry Job City Jones. Logan has completely jumped the shark and became a caricature, Cena’s proven to be completely washed against anyone not called CM Punk, and Jey Uso is, well, Jey Uso. Best of luck, RollerCodester! You assume Cody will be motivated here though. He’ll have had a few months to rewatch how badly they shat the bed at Wrestlemania, so will likely have a point to prove. PREDICTION: Who gives a fuck. The only thing I care about in this match is that Cody and Jey Uso get drunk on the bus before the press conference again. Do you feel me, sir?

Considering how flat and rubbish things currently are, I was optimistic that the four match card meant they would shoot a big Summertime angle. Maybe Roman or The Rock comes in.

But then I realised what the extra time will be allotted for. Seth’s gonna win. Seth’s gonnna try to cash in on Jey Uso. And then CM Punk is going to cost Seth the match. Hunter, reportedly not a fan of the Money in the Bank gimmick, once again gets rid of it in record time, helping further build CM Punk and Seth’s Never-Ending Story. They’ll have some type of match involving both of them at Summerslam. And Survivor Series. And next year’s Wrestlemania.
