People, I think, just about remember John Cena’s alliance with Bull Buchanan/B2, but not so much how it ended - when Cena’s new partner - ‘Redd Dogg’ destroyed B2.

That new alliance was something WWE themselves forgot because as far as I can remember, there was no follow-up, and Redd Dogg disappeared from Smackdown, resurfacing on Raw shortly after as Rodney Mack:

And talking of Rodney Mack, people forget ‘Theodore Long’s theme song’ originally belonged to Mack (who had Long as his manager), hence, I would assume the reference to to ‘MacMillitant’.

You are. SmackDown as a programme didn't start until after the group split up. About a year later, one episode of Raw appeared to end with Shane having formed a new heel faction consisting of himself, Show and Benoit (plus maybe a fourth member?) which was immediately nipped in the bud later that same month. Perhaps those two events have been conflated in your mind during the intervening quarter century?

I have no memory of this but looking it up the other members were Kurt Angle, Edge and Christian with Stephanie McMahon affiliated with them as well. According to Wiki they were called ‘The Conspiracy’

Aye, I remember Shane cutting Benoit's promo for him during his feud with Rock for Fully Loaded 2000. Shane and Steph had a loose alliance with team ECK around that time , but never knew they were a proper faction. I suppose Triple H was sorta a tweener during that late summer, so didn't need Steph/Shane too much.

Trips of course couldn't countenance Steph cheating on him with an Olympic gold medalist dweeb like Kurt (who would have torn H apart in a real fight/amateur wrestling contest) and nixed the angle in September and went back full heel and resumed his palling about with Steph and Shane. Benoit returned to the mid card despite doing a very good job with The Rock feud.

I’m sure everyone remembers The Miz and R-Truth vs John Cena and The Rock at Survivor Series 2011. But a match I was reminded of today that I have zero memory of is The Miz and R-Truth vs CM Punk and Triple H from the ppv before, Vengeance. Anyone else remember it?

The build triggers a memory in me. Miz and Truth going inside the Cell during or after the triple threat with Punk, Cena and Del Rio and Triple H bringing everyone out to try and stop the two most dangerous men in the company. But nothing about the match that eventually happened.

Which just reminded me that they were actually tag team partners in HUSTLE. Obviously with completely different names and gimmick.

I want to say that they even wrestled each other in HUSTLE, but I'm not %100 sure. 

They might have also teamed up in, on it's arse era AJW.

Which also reminds me. How many people remembered that Mick Foley actually challenged Kawada for the Triple Crown, before Kim Justice did a video on the match?

OK, there’s a lot of misremembering stuff crossed with things rumoured, for something that lasted all of 2 weeks/3 episodes of Raw.

Someone’s written that on Big Shows wiki but it’s fiction, they were never referred to as that. Nor were E&C part of their group either, they just happened to be teamed with Show for a couple of cross-feud tags, and people think they were involved because they were Kurt’s buddies for ages. Someone’s put 2 and 2 together…. and made fiiiiiiiive.

Stephanie was 100% still with her husband and part of his story during those two weeks. Her presence around ringside was only ever to do with her story for her title, or seconding Hunter. She wasn’t “affiliated” with Kurt in a management sense, that was later. Shane was trying to get the WWF title onto either Kurt or Benoit, while Show was focused on destroying Taker, which was supposed to lead to a match at SummerSlam until they realized Show was still out of shape and sent him back to fat camp, precipitating the rushed Kane heel turn.

I was tempted to write up highlights of the three Raws and two SmackDowns before Show disappeared and the love triangle was reignited, but hell, that’s what historyofwwe is for.

Sable teasing she was jumping to WCW by appearing in the crowd and Eric going on about how he reads Playboy for the articles. Never really seen it come up in discussions about Sable. This was after she left and iirc, sued WWF?

Yes you are correct! Reading that it all came back, I remember now how that faction started and just went nowhere. What is it with Big Show and factions that begin and go nowhere?

Didn't this appear on dark side of the ring or something like that last year? I definitely have seen this recently pop up on a documentary somewhere and tbf I had forgot all about it until i saw it again.

Sable is a real enigma to me, she is kind of a complete 'no go' person for wwe when they are talking about their history, I always presumed it was Brock stopping it at his wife's wishes but why she doesn't want to get mentioned i don't know, she had a really good career and yes there was the lawsuits but they moved past that and she worked for them again.

They did, and in GAEA, which was also where they had their only singles match against each other. 

I don't know if it's true, but the story I heard behind her name being "Amazing Kong" (before she was Awesome) was that the Matsunaga brothers who ran AJW called her that so they could put "A. Kong" on posters while Aja was on the outs with them and working elsewhere.
