There are plenty of elements to it from injuries to talent fallouts to WWE themselves being very good at what they do but, there's a bunch of sheer incompetence that undermines them and continues long after all the other excuses have been exhausted

I think that's it really. With this roster AEW should be putting on incredible shows and stories with a roster of mega stars. I don't want to compare them because they're very different but with WWE doing huge business with the quality of shows they're putting out while AEW with all it's endless potential is in the state it's in...it's stubborn incompetence. And I'm getting tired of seeing them wasting opportunity after opportunity and waiting for them to figure out what should be absolutely fucking obvious.

This is definitely the main issue I've had with them over the years. We've seen WWE make many many many mistakes over the years, so when you've got a fresh start like AEW had, you'd think there'd be some brains there to be more aware of what works and what doesn't and the traps not to fall into. You don't really expect WWE to be much better but you hope that Tony and co can learn from the history of other companies. Yet all too often the same shit ends up happening.

I'm not saying it's easy or whatever. It never will be, but there's also a good few inexcusable mistakes they make over time that are just really fucking annoying because they shouldn't be happening.

Some further shit news for them, SNME will run opposite All In: Texas and potentially Double Or Nothing. Apparently, it's important to note that NBC sets these dates and not WWE. That they happen to be on two of AEW's biggest PPV weekends is clearly a coincidence.

I don't expect any different from them and Tony is a big boy with a shit-ton of money so I'm not going to feel sorry for him but, it would be nice to see some grown up approach to the industry. The business is better off with two thriving companies who co-exist. The depths of the WWE monopoly shouldn't be anything anyone wants to return to.

I don't know how you see this and don't immediately rip up your current creative plans and strap the title and the rocket to this character. Build a 6-9 month reign leading up to a Swerve or Omega rematch at All In Texas.

I'm going to be annoyed about this forever.

Forget the pop for Cody winning at Wrestlemania. That woman screaming as Hangman starts walking back is the most incredible, visceral reaction to anything in the last decade.

It hadn’t ever really crossed my mind before, but now, thanks to @LaGoosh, all I can think about is that other dimension, where it’s Hangman who kills Danielson and becomes the heel World Champion.

What do we reckon for the Women’s Casino Gauntlet, then? Is Toni winning? Will they give it the big, “HOROWITZ WINS!” reaction when the rookie SHOCKS THE WORLD? Any surprises? Any free agents out there? When Britt Baker almost certainly doesn’t appear, can we assume that’s the end of her run in this company?

Frankly, with how negatively Twitter reacted to that Collision 12-man tag graphic, you wonder if Tony did a fat line last night and went crazy looking for something to make a splash and change popular opinion. Send Becky Lynch a blank cheque to appear on Wednesday.

HARLEY. Nothing else will do.

I can't the man standing up for what he believes in meme, but mine is that this Hangman character should never win the world title. An evolution needs to come first.

Just found out that Maximum Carnage has only sold 1500 tickets and that they also only announced the show and put tickets on sale THREE WEEKS before the show. Absolute madness.

It's a small venue with even more limited seating. Apparently if people sit in the top tier, they won't be able to see the ring, so those tickets are not for sale.

Even those wearing that ironically should have their devices seized.

Well, definitely their hard drives.

i have to agree @Duke and I think that’s got to be the end game. The problem right now is there seems to be nothing but long term angles being aimed at and very little in the short term. As much as I do love AEW, and I still enjoy the in ring product, the actual booking right now is bizarre and is definitely something they need to work on.

100%. I think they rushed to him challenging Moxley too early. For me, the story should always have been Hangman learning to fight for something bigger than himself then challenging Moxley, and AEW rallying behind him, because he's just as violent and unhinged as Mox, only this time, he's their guy.

Both shows left me fairly cold last week. Some good stuff in there but it feels like a company spinning its wheels at the moment. Even the massive moments like Omega returning arn't hitting the way they should - although I loved him saying he wasn't concerned with revenge then changing his mind the very second Callis interrupted his promo.

The Casino Gauntlet was a disappointment for the first time ever. I was happy with Hobbs winning. It was just filled with people I feel like I've seen fight a million times already. Roderick Strong, KOR, Adam Cole, Lance Archer making up the numbers. It was begging for an Ospreay or an Okada, although I can understand both not being in it.

Ospreay saying once the Continental Classic is over he will back Darby up against the Death Riders then not bothering since is classic 'they won't remember' AEW booking. Way to make once of your lead faces look like a liar and a coward.

Collision had a lot of good matches, then was headlined by a shitshow in Dax vs Jericho. My tolerance for Jericho has lasted longer than most but yeah, he needs to fuck off now.

Garcia vs Shibata, Cope vs Big Bill, Pac vs Komander and Hot Girl Graps were all crackers though.

I'm begging they don't stretch Mox vs Cope out until Revolution.
