@RedTwoster Smoke and mirrors. You’re not wrong in what you said about his in ring work, he’s gotten way worse since 2019, but you can do wonders with the right opponent and agent. All CM Punks matches in WWE have used smoke and mirrors to hide his limitations. Same in AEW and it was those matches where they didn’t that were either rough or he got injured.

No idea what his relationship with HHH is, though I imagine they can work through that. Personally I’d rather him go back to Japan, think he could have a decent run there.

I view him as washed In-ring but I know what he's like, and he has at least one more funny run in him where he somehow gets something ludicrous over. That's the annoying thing about him. When he's crap, he's enraging, because you know what he's capable of when he strikes gold with something.

Smokes and Mirrors isn’t just gimmicks, it’s also includes having a great opponent and a well booked / agented match. As much as I dislike Rollins, there’s a reason he is trusted in big matches. And I don’t think I’m being unreasonable suggesting CM Punk needs protection. He’s not the same wrestler he was when he left WWE.

That is not at all what smoke and mirrors means. 

I think Jericho's ring work is being slightly underrated here. He struggles to keep up in AEW, but I think in WWE, where the expectations for the in ring work are generally different, he can work a bit slower if he needs to and do more skits, a nostalgia run could be really good. He's still funny, he's still got ideas, and in WWE he'd be more limited better harnessed.

Jericho still has the occasional good match and really the majority of the matches on WWE TV are mediocre so I don't think his ring work would be an issue. I think Jericho would eventually end up in a lower/midcard slot and they likely wouldn't use him every week and it would be a case of whether he himself is OK with that - I imagine he'd want to be booked as a top star and be on TV every week.

I have no more faith for a sustained Hobbs push beyond Wednesday than anyone else does, because the evidence for the prosecution is pretty damning, even if you limit it to Hobbs own career. But when I went to fantasy book him in my head, I couldn't think of what even I'd do with him next. He's already lost to Takeshita, Garcia is a face, he's not the guy to beat Okada and even if he did the belt wouldn't mean anything, Christian can't keep losing, MJF is in a feud with Double J, and suddenly I'm running low on heels to elevate him, short of putting him over Hangman. Maybe there's a best of 5 he could have with Brody to try and get them both over? I really enjoyed his entrance at the end here, and he has such a different vibe to anyone else on the roster, so I think there's loads they could do, I'm just not sure what should be next.

Okay I punished myself by watching that Jericho match. Fuck me. Not sure anyone in WWE would watch that and want him back. Awful. He'd have to go the AJ Styles route before they'd let him on TV or it'll be an embarrassment all round. He's just given up.

Got me excited for a fucking Christopher Daniels match in 2025. This man is something else. Immediately going for a Texas Death Match, too! For almost nothing! What a nutter.

When did Seerve break into his house? It was over a year ago now, wasn’t it? I love that everything he does still comes back to that. It’s completely broken him.

The Hangman Adam Page Redemption Arc is so obviously the one, big story this company needs to focus on this year. Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay become Super Best Friends, vanquish the Callis Family, beat the Young Bucks, and then fix this man. Show him there’s good in people! Save him from the dark side! Toast over some whiskey and milk! At Nando’s!
