Yeah they are notoriously awful at doing this. I see people on the AEW reddit always complaining that they missed a show in their hometown because they either didn't even know it was happening or tickets went on sale too close to the event for them to plan for it.

I was convinced that the only reason Ospreay wasn't fighting for the World Title at Wembley last year was because they were trying to be cute and do Bulldog and Bret, with the Brit winning a secondary title in the de facto main event. But then MJF layered hats upon hats upon hats on that feud. I figured the International Title would be an opportunity to showcase Ospreay in incredible matches every show, make that to him what the TV Title was to Rob Van Dam in ECW, and that would justify keeping him away from the World belt for a while. But instead, we were in the world of every champion fighting for other belts at the same time.

I'd absolutely pull the trigger sooner than him winning it at Wembley in 2026 if it were me - not least because I think there's likely more mainstream engagement to be had with "All Elite Wrestling are holding their All In suprershow at Wembley Stadium next weekend, and joining us now on the sofa is their long reigning World Champion - from right here in the UK, Will Ospreay" than in him chasing for it there. 

The option is there to save the win for Wembley but that's really gambling a lot on a mega-pop. But one way or another, the belt needs to be round his waist at some point on that day.

I've not had a problem with the different belts, mainly because I can't think of many times they've cross-pollinated the champions and challengers. There have been quite a few times when people have got shots at lesser belts and then World titles or vice versa - particularly an issue with the women - but despite there not being any obvious guidance as to how the belts differ, they do seem to have something in their minds that they pretty much stick to.

I do agree as a general principle. It would help as fans to get excited about people if there was an obvious "division" they were in and a target for a belt. To be honest, in my mind, I normally only think about the TNT title. There are a few people I'd like to see holding some gold, Will Hobbs particularly, and I always think about the TNT Title. Mainly because I don't think most people fit into that "International" title reckoning. If they made the Continental a title that is only defended in the C2, that would make it all easier too.

In April last year AEW listed their full slate of PPVS and locations for the rest of 2024. That was 8 months notice for World's End in Orlando. WWE announce a house show and put tickets on sale in August. AEW finally put their tickets on sale in October. Two months notice was usually the best case scenario for sales even if it is known when and where months beforehand.

Only have TV up until mid-March. Many of those listed still do not have tickets on sale. Atlanta's in a month and still can't get tickets. Which is fine for a wrestling fan since Raw is in Atlanta the week before and just announced NXT is doing a taping as well.

Hell if he ever leaves to take a HoF spot, he should show up with the contract at the ceremony. Dents and everything.

One thing I’ve been thinking. Fantasy booking alert. What if Hangman isn’t redeemed. He beats Moxley after help from Kenny and as we think he’s going to turn to the light turns further dark not forgiving Kenny and building to Osprey beating him (and giving Kenny a shot at Wembley?)

Also Joe returns to stop the Christian cash in over Cope stopping it.

One good thing about Tony Khan being so relentlessly online is that he can be easily bullied into pulling his finger out: Casino Gauntlet, Lashley vs Briscoe, Ospreay vs Murphy and Toni/Willow/Statlander is a pretty insane card. Looking forward to it!

Toni Storm getting the number one spot and then winning it for the Grand Slam Australia match is the obvious and most sensible way to go. Also Toni Storm being happy go lucky and excited about her title shot while Mariah May goes increasingly insane and angry at Toni's memory loss would be excellent television.

I suppose they want to keep that story going but also don't want Ospreay/Mox for Maximum Carnage so it probably makes sense to keep him out of it this time.
