Guest Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 Never been a fan of the Cru for the obvious reasons, but Andretti calling Osprey "Mr Bruv" had me absolutely creasing. Quote

Oh I just meant that they've shown almost literally nothing and being stuck in an interminable feud with top flight for months. Lio has a decent upside, and I've not totally written Andretti off yet, since Mr Bruv, but they've been completely pointless so far. Quote
The King Of Swing Posted June 6, 2025 Posted June 6, 2025 (edited) The weekly woman's tag matches have been a constant highlight for me. Just really solid stuff. Edit. Mina needs to bin off that top rope slingblade, though. Don't think she's hit it right, yet. Edited June 6, 2025 by The King Of Swing Quote

It's a bit gimmicky but the roster is definitely diverse enough to make it work and it's some sort of differentiation. Continental should be retired as an actively defended championship with the match at All In - whoever wins it there takes it into the Continental Classic as reigning champion, from that point it exists purely as a trophy that the winner of the tournament carries around for a year. I'd revert to the "Continental Crown" name too (even though that was in reference to the short-lived "Modern American Triple Crown") - the belt's got a crown on it, after all. And yeah, TNT = TV title. Quote
Paid Members Kamran Posted June 9, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 9, 2025 This week it will be another 4-hour Dynamite and Collision special, currently scheduled: Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted June 9, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted June 9, 2025 If it was just that, it'd be a banging Dynamite but there's going to be at least another 5 matches and it's going to be a long old night. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted June 9, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 9, 2025 I almost respect them front loading the first two hours and then allowing people to drift off afterwards. No point pretending otherwise. Four hour TV shows is insane, even when your product is hot. I feel like Bruce in, “Matilda,” with the massive chocolate cake. Quote
The King of Old School Posted June 9, 2025 Posted June 9, 2025 Really enjoyed the LFI/Komander/Speedball/Knight match on last weeks show. Superb Have The Opps defended there Trio's Titles yet? Feel them vs the LFI could be a great All In opener. Quote

They could lean into the fact they've got all night, not worry about cramming it full of extra bits, and just give Swerve-Ospreay 45 minutes or an hour or something. Quote
Infinity Land Posted June 9, 2025 Posted June 9, 2025 Bit like the 3hr blocks of Collision/Rampage/BoTB. The formatting of the show sticks fairly rigid into separate shows. Benefit of being in the UK don't have to worry about dealing with it all live and can treat it as a 2hr Dynamite and 2hr Collision released early. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted June 12, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 12, 2025 Good performers, with characters I care about, can make even the goofiest angles work. Written down on paper, I would’ve cringed at Hangman Adam Page getting kidnapped by the Plastic Bag Bandits and Kenny Omega’s stomach bursting out of his mouth like the Chestburster from, “Alien.” However, in execution, they were both extremely effective. It’s the same compliment every week. This is a company with its shit together. Their eye on the prize. Supposedly they shifted nearly 1500 tickets this week for All In. It’s great to watch in real time how putting the work in can build momentum and business. Just wait until they announce Grado and Tony Bellew for All In! The place will be sold out! Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted June 12, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted June 12, 2025 (edited) I'm not the biggest Ospreay fan but I really noticed during the match with Swerve just how good everything he does looks. His work is incredibly tight and credible while being flashy and exciting. There was a point he was laying repeated huge kicks into Swerve's face and it completely looked brutal and convincing - you couldn't see through it at all. Brilliant execution on whatever he does. Mox's Scooby Doo hiding from Hangman in that opening was hilariously shit. The World Champion should never be hiding in the corner pretending to be a cleaner. The Unified Championship doesn't really work for me. Terrible name and the Continental title (which should have been a trophy title rather than something that is actively defended) never felt properly established and has basically zero lineage. Pretty great Dynamite though. Collision was fine. All too long. Edited June 12, 2025 by LaGoosh Quote
