Paid Members LaGoosh Posted June 20, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted June 20, 2025 I liked him when he was working with young up and comers on Collision and felt like that was the perfect role for him but the minute he started getting involved with the top stars on Dynamite he felt completely out of place and unwelcome. The King of Old School Posted June 20, 2025 Posted June 20, 2025 The only thing left for Cope to do now is the nostalgia run with Chris isn't it? Quote

I feel like his run was quite damaging to AEW in hindsight. The list of homegrown names he beat is long and the only singles matches he lost were to Christian (but won the feud) and Mox. To be fair, he’s not beaten anyone ‘homegrown’ of note - other biggest names he’s beaten in this run who could be considered homegrown are probably Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta, and I think it’s hard to make a case for either of them beating Copeland. If he was beating the likes of Swerve, Hangman and MJF I might agree, but that’s not happened. Quote
The King Of Swing Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 MJF is the drizzling shits. I genuinely wish the boring cunt would fuck off to WWE. I've already stopped caring about The Hurt Syndicate, thanks to his involvement. Mone's shitty belt collector run is boring me to tears. At least New Japan got their belt back. Great crowd. Bunch of multi matches. Yay. Hangman and Brody are wonderful. 6/10. Quote

Olly1984 Posted June 21, 2025 Posted June 21, 2025 (edited) Another quality episode of Dynamite. Arena looked fantastic, crowd were great, there love of Mistico and singing his theme was a moment, on the opposite their hatred of Atlantis and Atlantis Jnr was top tier piss funny. And Hangman just strutting out, cutting a promo in Spanish and still showing more passion and fire just through his facial expressions and tone... Just superb. Opening match was a cracker, if anyone would care to point out any of Hechicero's top matches and let me know as he's fucking great and I'm a bit late I know but loved his brief part and would like to seek out more. And Mone/Sonic throwing all the belts was an all timer for Storm/Mone All In hype video. Just quality, consistent wrestling shows from AEW at the moment and it's fucking great. Hechicero is bloody brilliant, please enjoy him bamboozling Danielson for 15 minutes with his array of forbidden holds. Quote

K̶o̶t̶a̶ ̶I̶b̶u̶s̶h̶i̶ Casino Gauntlet Match at All In. I immediately tried to find All In on Triller to buy the show after hearing that. (It's not available on there yet. But that was the last thing I needed before I was sold!) On 6/13/2025 at 10:35 PM, HarmonicGenerator said: Excuse me. Collision had a Conglomeration reunion, with Willow, in a match against MxM. That’s a dream. A dream! Fine indeed, it was bloody lovely. The dream came true - we got it again! Double lovely. Now give me Hologram with his new Conglomeration buddies, splashing out on a nice party for them all with his 4 million pesos. Good Collision overall - we got a cracking Toni Storm promo, and Moxley's segment with Statlander was one of the most effective things he's done in ages. Quote
Chili Posted June 22, 2025 Posted June 22, 2025 The Toni Storm promo was absolutely top drawer. I know people want Mone to take all the gold, but I disagree as then she has both AEW Women's titles and she'll either have to lose one (TBS) very quickly afterwards or vacate it, which I don't really see in her character to be one to do so. I'd rather Toni Storm won at All In, why should the heel just win at the end of the day. I think you can do something better with Mone eventually winning the gold, but after having a come to Jesus moment where shit starts going wrong and it builds a bit of a character in her. Or she just wins, I just think it's a bit too much. Quote

Mercedes losing to Toni and then losing all of her belts, one by one, and she's in a spiral, until Harley Cameron and the Mone puppet get her out of her funk, and Mercedes and Harley win the women's tag titles. Tony Khan, if you're reading, book it. Quote
The King Of Swing Posted June 22, 2025 Posted June 22, 2025 TNT Champion of the world. Adam Cole channeling his inner Randy Savage. Mone flying too close to the sun and losing it all, is the kind of storyline I can get behind. Quote

Yeah this, there is a much longer and satisfying story having her be so confident going in and absolutely fucking it that it begins a spiral, drops the TBS title to Willow or whoever and is actually in denial about it before rising back up. More importantly it would make her much more interesting. I like her, but arrogant self obsessed wrestler who just always wins anyway doesn't carry the same character development as her actually losing does. Quote
Guest Posted June 22, 2025 Posted June 22, 2025 I'm of the opinion that her first loss should come to Willow, and I'm not sure what Toni does next if she wins, but I do like the idea of Mone losing it all and getting more and more wound up before it all getting too much. Quote
