It’s probably the worst pay per view to bring over. I couldn’t even tell you the last noteworthy Elimination Chamber match, never mind the last great one. All I can remember is at some point they switched out all the metal grates for padding and turned it into a masssive McDonald’s Soft Play. Joke’s on them for stopping when they did. Tell me it wouldn’t be improved with a ball pit, a rope swing and a big slide from the top of one of the pods.

I’m still very tempted, but I suspect my enthusiasm will die down once the prices come out. You’re kidding yourself if you’re planning to go to this not expecting that dead awkward moment where they get everyone to do a big cheer for the company making a record profit on the show.

Looking forward to hearing about the Travelodge numbers in this thread.

I'd say MITB is overplayed too in a similar fashion (same with ladder matches in general!) but I still enjoyed it a lot being there live, so I don't think this will be much different.

Shipping the entire Elimination Chamber is going to cost them a bloody fortune. Anyone hoping for cheaper tickets is going to be disappointed.

They have took it to Australia and Saudi before so nothing new.

I imagine the prices would be ridiculous either way.

Ladder matches are fucking shit. Nothing quite takes me out of my enjoyment of the fake violence more than watching trained wrestlers take stupid stunt risks where they could, and do, get genuinely hurt by falling from daft height onto big chunks of metal.

Maybe the one Kofi almost won just before WrestleMania 35? I haven’t watched many/any more recently than that, but it’s the only one since 2005 I can remember anything about.

I've always just assumed watching through the Chamber metal would be shit as a paying fan.

The only steel cage match that I remember seeing live is JBL/Punk at MSG; they used one of their very thin mesh cages and it was fine, but anything heavier and I just think it'd be annoying.

I'm probably out on this one. MITB and All In last year scratched my live show itch, I think. I'm happy to go back to watching on TV for a few years.

Do they still leave anything in the country they do shows in? I know at one time they had rings stored over here - plus IIRC one of the old big blue cages.

I would think it some cases it would be easier (and cheaper) to manafacture some stuff in the country they're going to, rather then ship it across.

I’d like it if they just hired everything when they got here. Get a 14 x 14 ring from some local bloke in a Ford Transit, some moulded plastic chairs from B&M and some chicken wire from B&Q.

The first night of the proto-NXT:UK "United Kingdom Championship Live" tapings in Norwich did indeed have everyone sitting on moulded plastic garden chairs.

A bunch of people tweeted at HHH about it and they were all replaced with wooden folding chairs by night 2. Mine broke, but I'll concede I was much fatter in 2017 than now.

Apparently the chair problem was one of the main reasons they never ran there again.
