I watch a lot of videos of a bloke who delivers food on one of his various bikes for Uber eats, just eat, Deliveroo etc. All round London but sometimes he goes to other cities in England. Particular enjoy the night shift videos. It’s dull but I’m hooked.

This sounds good. Link please.

I know TikTok is huge but I believe I may have the most banal algorithm. I exclusively watch football referees, tradesmen, mortgage specialists and insurance brokers.

I had a bit of a bad experience with an insurer years ago and am now an expert in how they work and how they categorise risk too. Other than people who work for insurers I probably know more than anyone I've ever met. As interests go, it probably doesn't get duller than that.

I watch a lot of DCrider, the same thing but in America, watching him casually dodge through traffic cycling with no hands (he has them, he just doesn't use them) is surprisingly calming.

I’m a spreadsheet man and keep spreadsheets to catalogue everything - tv shows and films, books, football matches watched, grounds visited, walks taken, bike rides, weight tracking, wrestling matches, what’s in the loft, money stuff, house stuff, pension pots even one for what different Mountain Dew’s I’ve tried. It’s weird and I don’t know why I do it. I even had a list of what spreadsheets I ran but that was OTT.

They start really detailed, for example my tv show one used to breakdown each individual episode but then I tend to simplify them. Also some have now migrated to apps like Letterboxd for example.

It’s rubbed off on my daughter aswell, I walked in to her playroom the other day and she’s written a list of everything in there

Same. When I have free time on Friday afternoon and couple hours of the evening, I’ll often put on some tunes and sit on the sofa with car 4k drives in various countries. Usually videos in the summer time, so it somewhat makes you’re a bit away from the cold & damp. Can sometimes clock up a couple hours happily monged out taking in different scenery, cities or landscapes.

I watch a lot of "dull" content on YouTube (freight hopping, scenic routes on trains, a man that reviews random "blank" VHS tapes he buys in thrift stores) but I find them quite exciting so not sure it counts.

Recently I've started looking up routes or places whilst watching films or TV, mostly in America, and mostly the train routes.

I think it started when I watched The Office and I wanted to see how far it was from Scranton to New York/Philadelphia and Utica, as they make it sound like its just down the road.

I like to look up the route, the things to do there, the restaurants, cafes, shops, have a look around on Maps, look up the price of things and generally have a nosey around.

Did it last night with that awful Christmas film I watched. It was set in a "Central Falls" so I had a look around the Rhode Island one and Pawtucket, which is quite near as well. Looks nice and has a reasonably priced Colombian restaurant.

I'll never go.

I think I've watched some by that chap who watched the blank videos. Some have just got random things written in the labels. There's one who's going through one of those 3000 shareware/freeware Softkey compilations on CD ROM from the 90s as well which is interesting.

@waters44 have you heard of the World Spreadsheet Championship?

The what now?

I once threatened to combine my love of Flight Simulator and football by recording me flying a drone around an area and visiting the grounds, whilst narrating stories about the club, the ground, or games I’ve witnessed there.

Thankfully I’m a lazy bollocks who wouldn’t know how to do it so you’re all safe.
