Ah see I've been buying crisps in Aldi basically any time we see them as (a) I will eat them for all of December and (b) you never know when they won't have them.

Obviously I've been doing this as well :)

I'm off to the Aldi later too in order to stock up. The good news is that because I'm a sad, sad man, I tend to go to the supermarket on Boxing Day to get the Big Meats for the following Christmas on reduction. That means my Christmas food shopping is limited to whatever nonsense takes my fancy and veg. Reckon I'll load up on tempura prawns today.

I'm just about holding it all off. Will probably start at the weekend. Lidl's bloody charcuterie section almost broke me today though. My favourite food at Christmas tbh is just picking at nice salami's and cheese's whilst watching shite on telly.

Some absolutely insane veg prices from the supermarkets this year. God bless them.

Sorry for the double post but in other good Christmas deals in supermarkets atm news, Aldi and Lidl have some cracking ones on wine right now. Aldi have knocked 25% of all their Specially Selected wines. Lidl responded by knocking 30% of all their Deluxe wines if you buy 3. There is a lot of nice bottles in those ranges at pretty nuts prices after the reductions.

The Mega Powers are back tonight. Muppets Christmas Carol being shown at the local wine and cheese place. I am well excited. Christmas food/cheese thread/Christmas films thread united as one.

I'm cooking around 20 every 3 or 4 hours. This is normal right?

I'm pretty sure that is perfectly acceptable behaviour but then again I did have a box of Iceland Prawn Toast for lunch today. So my opinion may be skewed a bit.

I went to Liverpool for my works conference and party and my train was delayed both ways, I did a delay repay and got £150 back into my account even though work paid for the ticket. I’ve decided the best thing to do would spend the lot on Christmas food. Off to Iceland food warehouse shortly to see how many frozen sausage rolls, samosas, spring rolls and tampura prawns I can get.

Bought the Turkey tonight.  A Tesco’s finest for the big day, and a normal one for the freezer to smoke at Easter.  A fuck load of cheese also fell in the basket, and I mean a fuck load.

I purchased my first Mince Pies of the season this morning - Morrisons baked in store short crust, I'll be enjoying at least one with Popmaster this morning, may I be amongst the first to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
