Pre-injury Bandido I’d have been losing my mind over it. It saddens me that his vortex run since coming back has cooled him off a bit for me. Hard to tell if he’s lost a step or if it’s just what he’s had to work with. Also I’m only in April so if he’s been back at his best form more recently then that’s wonderful. In fairness, even if he has lost a step, 85% Bandido vs 100% Takeshita should still be insane. Yeeeah Bandido is still the fucking business, it was indeed the children who were wrong. Holy shit. HO LEE SHIT this was incredible. I know this weekend will be exhausting with All In, but go out of your way to watch this one. Phenomenal heat and, even by the standards of these two, the final third is absolutely out of this world. The creativity, the timing, the drama, Bandido busting out the finishers of ROH champions past, both of them having spectacular answers to each other's signature moves, a strike exchange which has possibly my favourite single strike of the year. Also helped along by Takeshita ripping off one corner of Bandido's mask and Bandido bleeding, so you could just see one of his eyes fully with blood streaming into it. Made for some sensational visuals, and allowed for Bandido to be more expressive than usual to really send the drama of this one over the top. What a total bad ass. All of that without mentioning what we almost take for granted, that Takeshita is the best wrestler in the galaxy. Cannot wait to follow him on another G1 Run this year. Anyway, yeah, a breath-taking, spectacular match, I think my only gripe during the whole thing was doing the tease of a count out where Takeshita seemed happy to win that way, which obviously wouldn't have won him the title. I know people don't want the ROH title but in kayfabe they should probably still pretend they do. Other than that though I cannot praise it highly enough. What a banger. Spoiler Post-match suggests that Hechicero is stepping up next! Hell yes! OK if this is going to be the calibre of opponents going forward then maybe I don't hate Bandido as ROH champ as much as I thought. Edited July 12, 2025 by JLM Quote
Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted July 19, 2025 Paid Members Posted July 19, 2025 (edited) There's a Jay Lethal Vs Michael Oku match on this week's show. What am I missing with Oku? I know he's held in pretty high regard, but as far as I'm concerned he's a Good Wrestler in a world full of Good Wrestlers. Is it a case that I need to see his RevPro stuff before properly judging him? I assumed Dalton Castle would be back by now - peak ROH to air one vignette about 6 weeks back then nothing since. This is an absolutely incredible match that really should not be missed. Meltzer gave it a higher rating than Hangman vs Moxley. Which I don't quite agree with but its close. It's an absolute belter and the event is still up on watchwrestling. Don't miss it everyone. Edited July 19, 2025 by Cousin Jim Bob Quote
Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted August 22, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 22, 2025 Worst In The World Ross Von Erich cut a promo on this weeks show, and boy he's as bad on the mic as he is in-ring. I genuinely think, when you consider how long he's been doing this, the fact he's been champion for over a year and also that they never lose, he may be the worst consistently-featured wrestler I've ever seen in a major company (if ROH qualifies as that). He's as mobile as an AT-AT, every move he does looks excruciatingly awkward and he's never ever in the right position. There's a moment in this weeks show where you just see the despair in Anthony Henry's eyes at trying to position this awkward lump of shite into the correct place which sums up his entire ROH career for me. Yet for me he's almost the wrestling equivalent of a Troma movie or something. I just get some kind of perverse pleasure in watching how absolutely awful he is. Long may his reign continue! Death Before Dishonor next week. Looking like a classic ROH show which should deliver on paper but has had hardly any build-up. At least Hechicero vs Bandido should be a banger. Quote

Paid Members Statto Posted August 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 30, 2025 Due to some kind of technical issue with the live broadcast, the whole show has been put up on YouTube for free: Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted August 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 30, 2025 Teaming Sammy Guevara with Rush is a head scratcher. I don't believe for a minute that a miserable psycho like Rush would want to spend any time at all with that soft edge lord. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted August 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 30, 2025 The only benefit to Sammy Guevara teaming with RUSH is that RUSH will almost certainly murder the annoying little prick. One random car journey bizarrely results in Sammy vanishing. Everyone in the company agrees it’s best left unsolved. No-one deserves another chance to get over less than Sammy. Bunch him with Jericho and Hager and send the lot them to WWE as a package deal. Quote
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted August 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 30, 2025 2 of the 4 pillars already look pretty wobbly in MJF and Jumpin Jack Perry. Can Tony really cast another one off. The whole shebang starts to look a bit wobbly and I'm not sure TK's ego can handle it. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted August 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 30, 2025 Checked this out as it was free on YT and I was working today so needed background noise. Couldn't believe what I was seeing with that QT vs PWH deathmatch. I know it's a lot of people's cup of tea but I turned it off halfway through the Bandido match, it must have been going on for an hour by the time I switched it off, and even as a background watch it was boring me. The thought of following it up with an Athena match made it a no brainer. Quote

It was never remotely true or accurate. Quote
