Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted April 26, 2025 Paid Members Posted April 26, 2025 A few years after randomly popping up on AEW Dark, Crowbar returns on this weeks episode! Facing off against his modern-day counterpart, Lance Archer. I'm sure it's only a one-off, but it just reminded me how much I miss AEW Dark and the random appearances from Crowbar, the DDT roster, Ricky Shane Page, etc. Bring it back please instead of this never-ending rotation of Top Flight/Serpentico/Premier Athletes/Shane Taylor Promotions matches. The entire Johnny TV/Taya feud with Dalton still is amazing to rewatch. Hope he stays healthy and the Peacock gets a chance on AEW TV, him and Harley would be pure gold together I reckon. Quote
Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted June 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 30, 2025 Even with an extra two months to build to Supercard of Honor, the card is somehow still a last-minute thrown together mess. Announced so far; Athena vs Thunder Rosa Blue Panther vs Lee Moriarty Takeshita vs Bandido Sons Of Texas vs Infantry OR Top Flight (a match that would struggle to get on Collision) As good as AEW has been this year, Tony Khan still has zero idea what he wants to do with ROH. It's a bit of a chicken and egg situation; why bother putting effort into it if it's never going to get a TV deal, but it's never going to get a TV deal as is anyway. Just sell up, man. Global Wars was good though! Quote
Paid Members JLM Posted June 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 30, 2025 (edited) Jesus that tag team situation is dire. I think I’d skip that one even if I attended the show in person. Play some Super Auto Pets on my phone or something. Tell you a tag team combination I’d like to see Tony try out: Griff Garrison and Cole Karter vs Angelico and Serpentico. There’s some untapped chemistry there I just know it. Also Dutch currently does not have an AEW contract but Top Flight, The Infantry and Action Andretti remain employed. I’m still in April on the main shows backlog and fucking Top Flight and the Infantry have been featured multiple times! I swear they got on Dynamite. It’s outrageous. I’m hoping this card is an indicator they’ve been sent back to ROH by now. Edited June 30, 2025 by JLM Quote

I still laugh thinking about your one review where you said something along the lines of 'if these two teams fight again I'm going to send Tony Khan a box of shit'. Quote
Guest Posted June 30, 2025 Posted June 30, 2025 I'm sorry, Takeshita Vs Bandido? That sounds incredible. Also interesting because there ain't no one in ROH who should be beating Takeshita, but equally he doesn't need to be weighed down with the ROH belt. Quote
Paid Members JLM Posted June 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted June 30, 2025 Yeah that’s an extremely appetising match. Pre-injury Bandido I’d have been losing my mind over it. It saddens me that his vortex run since coming back has cooled him off a bit for me. Hard to tell if he’s lost a step or if it’s just what he’s had to work with. Also I’m only in April so if he’s been back at his best form more recently then that’s wonderful. In fairness, even if he has lost a step, 85% Bandido vs 100% Takeshita should still be insane. Quote

Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted July 10, 2025 Paid Members Posted July 10, 2025 I don't think there's ever been a more unnecessary title than 'ROH Interim Womens World Television Champion'. Quote

That would be the ROH Women's Pure title that was announced and then nothing really happened with it. Quote
Merzbow Posted July 10, 2025 Posted July 10, 2025 So Takeshita takes the title and walks in to the G1 Climax with gold around his waist? Quote

Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted July 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted July 11, 2025 There's something oddly reassuring about Ross Von Erich still being utter shite and also still looking like a scaffolder who sells coke on the side. Quote
