The story could quite logically be something along the lines of "I wanted a group of evil, dominant villains and you all failed me so you have to prove yourselves" the full disappointed Dad scenario. It would make sense as: - Yuta lost the Pure title. - Claudio lost the ROH title. - Bryan couldn't beat Jericho for the title and failed to recruit Daniel Garcia. - Mox is knackered, is going 50/50 with scrubs like Moriary, can't remember what day it is. Why wouldn't he be fed up with them? Him wanting them to step up and in the meantime joining forces with a real bad guy makes sense. How’s that not leaving BCC? Quote

Makes them all look more like chumps than they already will as none can get physical with him in revenge Quote

I’m sure there is room for a revenge storyline in there. Quote

I think there’s a good chance Yuta also turns, given MJF’s recent interactions with him. Quote
Merzbow Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 I'd happily see a fair few of the factions split, I don't dislike the idea of most people having their little group like NJPW but many of the groups have ended up falling flat. I get the feeling that Tony is doing a soft reset here, after all the bullshit it's maybe needed. Quote
Infinity Land Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 I've wanted the BCC to split since Danielson was recruiting Garcia. CC & Yuta v. Danielson & Garcia with Mox going his own way. This has been doing the rounds since the weekend. The clips of Jamie Hayter v. Brit Baker on Dynamite in 2019. It's very weird to see considering how both have developed. Jamie did have something about her back then that I don't think many picked up on at the time. Quote
Merzbow Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 Maybe it was just the lust talking back then but I was 100% a Hayter from her short time in the company back then, especially when comparing her to her old teammate who seemed to get the initial push. Quote

There was an interview segment a while back where Yuta was clearly frustrated that Danielson was obsessed with Daniel Garcia, rather than working with him, so I assume he's either breaking away from the group or they go back to the kind of "forged in fire" thing where they'll fight each other to prove their worth. 14 minutes ago, Merzbow said: Maybe it was just the lust talking back then but I was 100% a Hayter from her short time in the company back then, especially when comparing her to her old teammate who seemed to get the initial push. Yeah, Hayter's been good for years - I'm sure you'll find posts from me on here from either before she debuted in AEW, or after her first appearance, saying that she's genuinely everything Bea Priestly thinks she is. She was brilliant from day one, so if people weren't picking up on that early, it's only because she wasn't featured well enough in AEW for them to realise it. Quote

Priestly is the absolute dirt worst. Hayter is fucking great though. I saw her for the first time at a PROGRESS show, she had a good match but the audience spent the whole time taking the piss out if her ring gear. It was a frustrating experience. Quote
Merzbow Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 Bea had the swagger about her, I'll give her that. Shame she couldn't back it up. Quote

She used to get a lot of that at EVE, too, though it probably helped her become a brilliantly mouthy heel by always having reason to shout back at people. Quote

When did Hayter work Progress? I know she was active with Rev Pro but I can't recall seeing her in Progress. I remember the crowd ripping into a wrestler over her arm sleeve but that was an Irish lass, Katie Harvey. Edited November 23, 2022 by BrodyGraham Quote

That's exactly how i imagine an arena full of UKFF'ers would react to a match. That and taking the piss out of people's hair. Quote
Loki Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 The big difference between that match and now, frankly, is her look. She's been hitting the gym and is slimmer and way more muscled and toned. That plus the new ring gear and the blond fringe mean that she looks like a champion, rather than an indy wrestler. It's as true for the women as it is for the men, you have to look the part. Hayter coming down to the ring in all the white fur, kissing her bicep ala Scott Steiner, is just a fantastic entrance and tells you everything you need to know about the character right there. There's lots of pretty girls in wrestling, and lots of tough birds, but it's hard to look pretty AND tough. That's money! Quote
