I know you’re down on Micah Richards, and I can see why people find him annoying, but he's got enthusiasm and a bit of personality, unlike 95% of the dullards they employ like Osman and Shearer.

I do quite like him, and I don't mind the laughing every five minutes, it was the lack of preparation he'd done that pissed me off (but I'm a miserable bastard) I'd rather he was there than say Mark Lawrenson.

He gets that he is very privileged and lucky to be talking about football for a living, something a lot of pundits forget.

I don't mind Shearer. Hes improved a lot.

Anyway....

Ugh, I've had a headache, haven't been able to sleep and cannot concentrate this morning. I thought I had COVID (again), but turns out I just have a severe case of EUROS FEVER, BABY!

Cannot wait for the tournament. The quality looks really high and there's four or five potential winners in there. Some of the group games should be cracking as well.

I hope that it all goes off without a hitch and symbolises some sort of return to normalcy, but I have a horrible feeling the virus is going to wreak havoc with plans at some stage.

Anyway, fancy Belgium to come good and finally win, but suspect that France's squad is just too deep and has too much quality. Italy as dark horses.

I can see France & Portugal getting out of that group. Hungary are going to need a miracle, and Germany haven't been their usual selves for a while. I forgot how much quality is in that Portugal side. Them playing France is going to be a real highlight.

In fairness though, you could say that about virtually every TV pundit. They don't provide the greatest of insights do they? Barring the odd exception of course. Those that do, tend to get snubbed for TV because they aren't box office and stick to podcasts.

Yeah I am with you re Germany. They are starting to recover from their terrible run that included the last World Cup, but I think it's too little too late with the group they have. France are ridiculous, and Portugal have quality in every single position. They are my pick to win the tournament, they are infinitely better than the shower of shite that won the last tournament. What an awful side they were and they played shit, Renato Sanches and pornstache Willy aside.

It's a shame about the draw because I am optimistic about this England side, however I can't see them getting past France or Portugal in the 2nd round whatsoever. I think they are the only two teams that I can't see England having a hope of getting a result from. I can even see England beating Belgium this time around if they were to play them.

Not the highest of bars. The desiccated corpse of Fred West would be more fun than having Mr. Belinda Wipes around.

BBC have a huge Euros quiz:

Quiz: How well do you know the Euros? Take our bumper quiz - BBC Sport

I got 124/125 😭 One of the poxy Adidas balls cost me a clean sweep.

That quiz is jank, though. Two of the teams in the "Which teams are participating?" question are really case-sensitive, and the one where you have to list previous winners gives a correct answer as incorrect (and I know I spelled it properly), because it wants a modern (and inaccurate) name.

Always a danger with England games as you hear your neighbours watching via the aerial cheer 20 seconds before it happens in the 4k stream.

Yeah learnt that at the World Cup! Hopefully we'll have something to cheer about.

Italy looked really tasty. Stupidly enjoyable to watch. Either that or Turkey are a bit more shite than they let on. I expected Italy to win, but for it to be a more competitive game than that. Wales and Switzerland will both be very encouraged by how little danger Turkey were able to cause Italy.
