Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted August 20, 2020 Paid Members Posted August 20, 2020 (edited) Huge DC fan expo all day Saturday, gonna have loads of reveals of trailers and stuff. https://www.dcfandome.com And in life affirming news apparently Ben Affleck is back as Batman in the new flash film. Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted August 20, 2020 Paid Members Posted August 20, 2020 I saw the preview of Snyders JL cut which, despite me hating his DC movies, I’m interested in seeing his take. But Batfleck making a return pleases me greatly. Quote
Marc Ambush Solo Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Plus the Keaton '89 Batman will also return in the Flash movie! Quote
WyattSheepMask Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 And in news that will no doubt please @Devon Malcolm, Olivia Wilde has apparently been roped in to direct a Marvel movie in conjunction with Sony- https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-53846634?intlink_from_url=https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment_and_arts&link_location=live-reporting-story Quote
Paid Members Scott Malbranque Posted August 21, 2020 Paid Members Posted August 21, 2020 Probably not the right place to put this, but if you close your eyes it can be a movie. It can be your movie: The Sandman Audio Book is quite a journey. Quote
Mr_Danger Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Doctor Destiny at the diner is quite the ordeal! Quote
DavidB6937 Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 Really pleased about Affleck. Actually pleased for him. He deserved more and I'm glad he's getting a little extra. Quote
WyattSheepMask Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 So where does that leave the Robert Pattinson Batman film? Or is this just a one-shot thing for The Flash movie? which doesn’t exactly fill you with hope for it if they had to cram Batman in there Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted August 22, 2020 Paid Members Posted August 22, 2020 The Pattison Batman is it's own thing, being kept separate completely from the wider DC stuff. While I can't say I was interested in another Batman movie, I am intrigued by this one because I fucking love RPatz and Matt Reeves has made some great movies. I really hope the Synder cut is terrible, just to spite the awful awful people who have been campaigning for it. Quote

It will be. Personally I enjoyed Justice League because it had less of Snyders takes on the DC Universe. I loved Watchmen but he’s output post that has been generally awful Edited August 22, 2020 by Hannibal Scorch Quote
The King Of Swing Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 The original cut was one of the most bang average movies I've ever sat through and I'll probably watch the Snyder Cut out of simple curiosity. Really don't see what all the anger is about. As soon as details started leaking it was pretty fucking obvious that it was eventually going to be released and cast members bigging it was the final confirmation for me. The whole "campaign" was just an example of cynical exploitation and manipulation of a fanbase by a corporation imo. Drip feed some details and watch them go. Cheapest PR machine ever. Quote

Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted August 22, 2020 Paid Members Posted August 22, 2020 (edited) The sizzle reel has come out. It looks great but it’s not really a trailer. Big Match John maybe the stand out in the way Big Dave was in Guardians Edited August 22, 2020 by Hannibal Scorch Quote
