Abe_Knuckleball_Schwartz Posted July 15, 2025 Posted July 15, 2025 This may be a mandela effect on my part I seem to remember having a few DVD’s from tape traders of a show in which I can only describe as like a news centre for all the (kayfabe) happenings, news, title changes etc. across the territories. I believe it also showed the odd match, generally in the form of highlights or joined in progress that sort of thing. Although I do not have the DVD’s anymore, I seem to remember it being only a small set, maybe like 12 episodes or similar spilt across two discs I have done a few searches on Google and nothing comes up which is making me think I have imagined it or at the very least was just a comp of event centre type spots Was this a real thing? If so, can anyone give me anymore information, such as the name, number of episodes , presenters. Thanks! Quote

The Bagpipe Report. Quote

There's lots of episodes on YouTube. Quote

Paid Members BigJag Posted July 17, 2025 Paid Members Posted July 17, 2025 There's a number of superfans that are regularly sat in the prime front row seats at most ppvs. A recent addition to their ranks is an Indian looking gentleman. Who wears a Trinidad flag shirt. He takes around a million pictures at every show. Does he have an Instagram account or something similar? Quote

simonworden Posted July 18, 2025 Posted July 18, 2025 I'm wondering if anyone can help or could point me in the direction of who to pester. I'm working on a program for a promotion in Southeast Asia and I remember the FWA having one that was pretty decent. Does anyone have a PDF copy of know who might just have one they could share with me. Happy to send a copy of SEA Wrestling as a gift if anyone has it. Quote

boshealecta Posted August 16, 2025 Posted August 16, 2025 I know there is often ‘What If’ threads of how people would book a PPV, but this is more of a ‘What Was’ as in what was the plan. Just watched Hogan and Sid vs Taker and Flair from Saturday Nights Main Event where Sid turns on Hogan (rightly so). Hogan has been chosen to face Flair at WM8 in a Tunney press conference, but had they already decided he wouldn’t be based on disappointing house shows? Basically when did they decide that Hogan vs Flair wasn’t happening and what was the plan for the rest of the card. What would Savage have done (would it have been Jake?) and if so what does Taker do? Does he stay heel against Sid? Does the streak end after one match? Just trying to work out what the rest of WM8 was meant to look like if anyone knows from podcasts/dirt sheets etc Quote

Yes. 4 hours ago, boshealecta said: if so what does Taker do? Does he stay heel against Sid? Yes. It was also meant to be LOD vs Natural Disasters no DQ before Hawk failed his drugs test, Hacksaw & Bob Laughter vs Money Inc, and Shawn Michaels vs Marty Jannetty before Marty got himself fired between the Rumble and Mania for the first of three years in a row. Shame about the LOD match. Always wished Natural Disasters had stayed heel for longer. Crazy to think that the streak might never even have got going. Just goes to show that it’s all down to Hogan that the streak even happened. He created it basically I mean it’s rubbish having the main event end in DQ anyway, nevermind if it had been for the gold. It’s a nutty show all over in terms of changes and plans. I’ve long been convinced they were also going to blow off New Foundation vs Beverly Brothers if Anvil hadn’t got himself canned in early March. Fun fact ; High Energy might have looked rather different, as well as Koko, several matches up to Mania had Anvil replaced by either of those other long term utility men, Jim Powers or Jim Brunzell. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 17, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 17, 2025 (edited) I’m guessing Bret vs Piper was always the plan then? Honestly, as much as I love the Flair vs Savage match, I wish we got that originally planned Mania 8 myself. Hogan vs Flair Savage vs Jake Taker vs Sid Bret vs Piper Shawn vs Marty LOD vs Disasters Maybe squeeze in that Bulldog vs Berzerker match that was supposed to be on there as well. I do like Mania 8 and none of the new matches there would’ve been better actual matches than Flair vs Savage (maybe Shawn and Marty could’ve topped it?), but this just looks more like a WrestleMania to me than what we got. boshealecta Posted August 17, 2025 Posted August 17, 2025 One benefit of Shawn vs Tito is Heenan revealing Ariba McIntyre is Titos sister…which I coincidentally saw listed as a fact on a YouTube video of Wrestlemania facts you might not know lol Quote
