Perry
Sunday 27th Dec 9.00pm Back to the 80s with Lenny Henry Monday 28th Dec 9.00pm Back to the 90s with Vic Reeves Tuesday 29th Dec 10.00pm Back to the Noughties with Davina McCall Wednesday 30th Dec 10.00pm Back to the 2010's with Jimmy Carr All decades will be focused on Channel 4 programmes from the past. Sounds pretty decent. Although they should've had someone from The Comic Strip Presents to host the 80s show.

Although I was thinking more along the lines of Ade, Alexei or Keith Allen

King Coconut
In fairness, Lenny Henry is a bigger 80s icon than all of those except maybe Vivien, who is a character.

Just seemed an odd choice as Lenny was always a BBC guy during the 80s.
Retro Red
Comic Strip didn’t have the cultural impact people who love it think it did, launched some careers but most were already known or started on the Young Ones. It was very good, but it’s never the top of the list of things the main cast are remembered for now. The 80s one will be a bit crap anyway, 60 minutes on Countdown and The Tube, maybe 15 to 1 if they can be bothered. Could pad it out with Desmonds but that just crept in at the end of the 80s, most of its run was in the 90s.

I'd assume Saturday Live would feature heavily in the 80s episode

Paid Members Jazzy G Posted December 15, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted December 15, 2020 Hopefully we get a healthy dose of GamesMaster in the 90s one.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted December 15, 2020 Moderators Share Posted December 15, 2020 You get a good feel for back when Channel 4 was interesting in Adam and Joe's Fourmative Years on All4. I'd wager it does a better job than what'll be on over xmas.

They’re all scripted anyway so better to watch the thing they’re pretending to have watched.
