Bron Breakker perfectly hitting that Steiner sweet spot of being absolutely wild and terrifying, yet unintentionally hilarious. His voice breaking as he screamed into the microphone, him falling out of the ring as he tried to charge at Adam Pearce, him nearly failing to knock over a mop bucket backstage. So, so funny. He’s like Scott reincarnated. Gunther is the best Sports Entertainer of the last few decades. Fantastic in the ring, fantastic on the mic, brilliant character work, tremendous heel delivery, expert comedic timing. Fuck a Drew/Jacob/Cody match headlining Night One. That’s the Career Killer’s spot. Laughing his arse off. Dominic Mysterio debuted a new, fuller, even more spectacular moustache! That’s the business! Give me that over more matches every day of the week. Fun plunder match for the Women’s Title. Wild they changed Stephanie’s music to make it more generic, but at this point I just assume everything is to feed into Unreal. They’ll probably dedicate half an episode to her reaction to getting emailed over generic_crap_rawk.mp3. Insider references aside, Roman and Punk was electric. Two megastars cutting a proper money promo. Roman Reigns when he’s locked in is as good as it gets. Looked the fucking business walking straight out to the ring from his car. Extra points for all the strays Drew and Finn were catching from him. Randomly burying guys to further build yourself up. Real graps. This is it. CM Punk’s real Mania Main Event. What we should have gotten last year. Everyone involved in that muddled pile of shit should be ashamed of themselves after watching this. It was almost fitting when Punk came out that they cut to that random fan dressed as Seth because the ghost of Seth hung over this entire segment, proving without a shadow of a doubt that he’s a complete scrub who drags everything down. Maybe the fan actually was Seth. That’s the side of the barricade he belongs on. Baffled anyone is complaining that it’s for the World Title rather than the, “Undisputed,” (LOL) WWE Title because this is exactly what you should be doing. Treat both belts as equally as important and then fans will buy them as such. The only reason the Seth belt has always felt like the European Title is because Seth has been carrying or challenging for it! Frankly, this already feels bigger than whatever the WWE Title match is at Mania, and if you don’t agree I’m sure Roman will continue to bury them whenever he next gets the chance. Funniest thing about them cutting this promo now, when Punk is still feuding with Finn, is that it suggests Roman’s going back home until Mania. Came in. Won The Rumble. Fucked back off until Mania. Is the top belt the one Drew McIntyre's knocking about with, or the one Roman Reigns just won the Royal Rumble to challenge CM Punk for in the main event of Wrestlemania? I suppose it depends what they do with Finn Balor in the coming weeks, and whether they're splitting the Judgement Day. This would also be a very simple mechanism to split him off from Liv is that was the direction of travel. Quote
