DavidB6937 Posted February 5 Posted February 5 And this is Roman at his best. Don't dilute him with random distractions, fake Bloodline stuff or anything like that. Just let him be focused on Punk. There's more than enough there for them to work with. Quote
d-d-d-dAz Posted February 5 Posted February 5 For my sins, I still love Punk, but that promo had the same vibe to me as when Cena clearly beat The Rock in a promo segment and you just think... oh, that's how good they actually are. Also, I love Punk but he's aging so badly his ear lobes are even starting to go slack. There are 7 years between Roman and Punk. It might as well be 7 centuries. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted February 5 Paid Members Posted February 5 (edited) World’s Collide. “How was your CM Punk feud?” ”Universally considered one of the best of all time, you?” “Never-ending pile of shit that aged him about twenty years. They’re redo-ing my Wrestlemania match without me and it’s already a million times bigger and better.” ”I’m better than you, and you know it.” ”Most are, to be fair.” Edited February 5 by Supremo Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted February 10 Paid Members Posted February 10 (edited) Austin Theory’s weekly failed attempt to look cool remains one of my favourite things in the sport. If he was doing it on purpose, or with any type of irony, I’d consider it one of the best comedy characters in pro-wrestling. Pops me every week how he feels more and more like a Fresher at Uni, desperately trying to re-brand himself. I am a shagger! Rocking his Dad’s leather jacket failed? Always looked awkward and lame? Don’t worry about it. This week he’s got his Mum’s scarf! I give it a month. He’ll risk a fedora. It won’t work. Once the Union closes, he’ll make the lonely walk back to his Halls of Residence for a Pot Noodle and a wank. Another good show. Bravo and Rayo Americano officially the best thing Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate have ever done on the main roster. That funny walk Bate does to the ring already sealed it, but then he hit that incredible Cutter with Je’Von Evans. Does Raw or Smackdown even have opening credits anymore? Or do they always just show wrestlers arriving? This is the type of spot where they should immediately bring back credits so they can replay it every single week! What a beauty! Chuck some Papa Roach over this and we’ll be back in the boom! Dirty Dom’s bushy moustache is something to behold. I want the mullet and moustache to reach levels only seen on Man United fans hoping to win five games in a row, all leading to Dom vs. Rey at Wrestlemania, Hair vs. Mask. Another week. Another masked man angle. Wild though; Breakker getting injured appears to have forced them to pivot to a Seth Rollins vs. Austin Theory match at Wrestlemania! Jesus Christ. The match nobody needs, but the match they both deserve. Battle of the Whoppers. Only thing funnier is the news coming out that that despite spending months throwing his body around with reckless abandon, constantly landing on his head, it was this spot, tipping the announce table, that put Breakker on the shelf indefinitely. It’s the Performance Center trainees I feel sorry for. As if it’s not bad enough attending the, “Shocked Face,” and, “Stare at Hands” classes, Shawn will now be introducing a, “How to Tip Tables,” class! The camera cutting to Gunther in the back, already in mid-laugh, was spectacular. I like to imagine he spends all day every day howling to himself. Better yet, between Roman and Punk leaving Drew for dead, seeing the Qualifying Matches for the Chamber (Gunther in one qualifier, both Jacob and Cody in another), and now seeing reports that everything is up in the air and they’re changing Wrestlemania plans on the fly? I think they’ve called an audible. I no longer think Drew goes into Wrestlemania as Champion. I now think Cody’s going into Wrestlemania as Champion, defending against Gunther. A far better match. A far better story. Go full Rocky 4. Imagine a, “No Easy Way Out,” montage over this! Money! Biggest headline coming out of this show is how CM Punk is giving Kenny Omega a run for his money for a surprising career turnaround in the new year. Man looked and sounded positively washed for nearly an entire year, but in 2026? Everything is coming up Punker! Solid feud with Bron. Survived the Breakker match without getting injured. An accomplishment that is more impressive by the week. Fantastic TV main event with Balor on the Island of Ireland. Night Two Wrestlemania Main Event (“the Real Main Event”) banked. And now two absolute home run promos on successive episodes of Raw. He’s even managed to take what should be a B Feud with Finn, with the most obvious result of all time, and yet somehow make it work. I’m bang up for Elimination Chamber, despite there being less than one percent chance he loses. Evidence mounting that Seth Rollins was a literal plague on CM Punk’s life. Seth fucked off, and Punk immediately flourished! Both personally and professionally, everything has improved! Even empty headed dumb fucks are proving he was right all along! Wins everywhere he looks! He must be on Cloud Nine! Forget, "Voice of the Voiceless," he's now, "Smug of the Smugless!" Edited February 10 by Supremo Quote
NeverYield Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Wow Becky Lynch on the mic with AJ Lee was a new level of cringe and shocking... What even was that Quote

DavidB6937 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 (edited) Pretty sure Becky is meant to be a cringey character at this point anyway. I'll take it compared to some of the other shit she's done. Edited February 10 by DavidB6937 Quote
NeverYield Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Yeah she's 'so bad she's good' in a way for me but in general I'm not too enamoured with that last night. Funniest bit was her leering about when she came down for the interference. But that weird stammering about in her promo 🫠 Quote
DavidB6937 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Oh I can see why it isn't for everyone but I've gone through phases of being bored shitless by some of the stuff she's done when she's tried changing her character. At least now she's deliberately OTT and trying to have a bit of fun with it which I'd rather have. She's often struggled on the mic beyond the 'Man' stuff. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted February 10 Paid Members Posted February 10 I’ve got a lot of time for Becky doing a parody of Trump, but her employers are so far up the real Trump’s arse that they don’t seem to have noticed. And it’s not just me saying that. Everyone’s saying it. Quote

Paid Members LaGoosh Posted February 10 Paid Members Posted February 10 Is there anyone in wrestling nowadays who doesn't do a cutter? I'm sick of seeing them. Quote

I thought the same. But in the full clip its pretty well executed, someone he intended to splash rolled just as he made the motion to jump it looks like. Quote

The worst thing is how nobody will call it a Diamond Cutter, even though it still makes sense when it's someone other than DDP using it. It's not like it was the Batista Bomb, where they adapted the name of an existing move for the wrestler. Pet hate. 😂🙈 Quote
