TheScarlettChad Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Turning her heel feels pointless. She'll vanish after losing a shit match to dupree and nothing will matter. Quote

Vince didn’t like man vs woman, did he? Thought it was low rent. Sable vs Mero (if that counts), Lita vs Malenko and Trish & Lita vs C-Squared were exceptions. Quote

I thought he was pretty poor, although he was so young when he was with WWE that it’s probably understandable. His tag team with Kenzo Suzuki back in 04/05 was absolutely horrendous. Quote

I always wondered if they put those two together with the thinking, "Well, we stuck together in a team the two most boring bastards in the company before in Road Dogg and Billy Gunn and that worked out alright - maybe it'll happen again!" Just a typical 'put the foreigners together, see what happens' deal is my guess. You've got to remember this isn't long after Suzuki was originally going to come in Hirohito and the Tajiri, Akio & Sakoda team were going to be called The Yakuza. They wanted stereotypes and cheap heat because they were desparate at the time (particularly on the SmackDown side). I always thought Dupree was a solid WWE-style worker. He was young, but he'd already been wrestling regularly for years by the time he got there. He was green, yes, but he looked the part and knew what to do in the ring and got better over time. His team with Suzuki was the pits, but they did have a few good matches with Rey Mysterio & RVD during their run together. Quote

Thought inter gender was low rent but making women bark like dogs was perfectly acceptable. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted January 21 Paid Members Posted January 21 Punk vs. Balor was the best thing CM Punk has done since the Drew feud. White hot crowd. Punk leaning into his heel tendencies. Balor working harder than he has done in years. Really good stuff. Excellent TV wrestling. It felt like one of those fun exhibitions Punk would have at the start of his AEW run. A fun novelty of seeing him mix it up with someone you’d never expect. Exactly what this reign should be. Ideally they do this for another few months before he turns the heat up on a money feud leading into Mania, the same way the Eddie Kingston and MJF feuds slowly developed. Everyone involved in wasting nearly two years of CM Punk’s limited career feuding with Seth Rollins should be ashamed of themselves. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted January 27 Paid Members Posted January 27 I’m not saying Tony Khan was front row at Raw. All I’m saying is this lad looks like he thinks AJ Styles’ life might be in danger. Quote
NeverYield Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Another solid enough show I thought. Its still early doors in '26, but WWE is definitely going in a much better direction. Quote
TheScarlettChad Posted January 27 Posted January 27 AJ's wording has people speculating. "Gunther claims he's going to end my WWE career." Jon Alba reckons he'll work elsewhere when his contract expires. Could we see a short AEW run? Quote
