Sorry if I misrepresented your level of indignation, but calling someone a "rat stooge" seemed a little invested. I dread to think what you'd call me if you knew the amount of sickies I pulled at the Co-Op.

Ha, I'm just calling him what I think he is to some degree. I think he's a rat and a stooge, but I'm not banging the table about it, just shooting the shit or whatever awful phrases people use for that. It's not indignation, but then we're also on a text forum so tone only comes through the words. It's not someone being a racist or a murderer etc. That would be worth the indignation I guess. But I just disagree with a lot of people cooing over Regal's image as some noble good guy above other people's reputation in the industry etc blah blah.

Bit like when wrestlers would say Kane and Val Venis were the smartest men in the locker room when they weren't, they just watched the news a bit and were politically weird.

Nothing wrong with being a carny especially to a Billionaire like Tone or Hunter. But he used the fact Tony's mam was in hosptial as the way to get out of his deal, Because Khan wasn't thinking clearly. That's it. In a business full of murderers, sex pests and general wronguns. That isn't the worst thing, Nor does it make Regal a bad person or some bollocks. He was raised in the wrestling world. He's a dodgy conman like Heyman is.

How do you know Khan wasn’t thinking clearly? And with a contractual matter like that, it takes enough time to negotiate the finer points for Khan to have had time to stew over it a bit.

Ultimately, though - if I decided I wanted to resign from my job, not least because I was unhappy, I’d not wait until it was convenient for my boss to do so, there’s nothing wrong with what he did.

Regal has always seemed a decent sort to me - whether it’s his stance on Benoit, the word ‘mark’ being used for fans, or even his concern about wrestlers taking too many risks. To me, it all seems to come from a good place.

None of that precludes him from being a stooge though.  I like Regal too (even though he's one of many who made the mistake of doing a podcast and exposing himself as nowhere near as interesting as he seemed beforehand) but nobody lasts as long as he has in that company without being a stooge to some degree (Prichard, Patterson, Laurinitis, Taker, Dunn, Brisco, etc.).  Regal is no different other than his loyalty may be more towards Triple H than Vince.

Thought something exciting had happened on RAW considering the thread activity. Should've known better.

Stranger things have happened.

I have no idea whether he is or he isn’t and I’m not trying to make a case either way. My initial point was that I don’t think that’s where his comments about neck spots came from, which somehow evolved into a discussion about whether or not he departed AEW in a sneaky/shitty way.

Probably the most exciting part was another Oba Femi pack airing, and the effort to freshen up the roster with wrestlers from NXT at quite a high volume. Not exactly worth watching the show for that, but at least there’ll be fresh matches and feuds on both brands…initially.

How on earth was working one or two days a week keeping him away from his adult son that he'd already had prior working a full time schedule, before he went to the performance center. He's not Bret Hart and the rest flying all over the country in the mid 80's and legit seeing their young families a few days per month. Also his current job on the road in WWE keeps him away for an equal amount of time if his lad isn't at TV and just doing whatever the fuck in NXT.

What is his job "on the road"? He is no longer talent recruitment, Matt Bloom is. My understanding is that he is a trainer at the PC along with his good mate Robbie Brookside.

As you say, many wrestlers missed the formative years of their children's lives travelling all over the world - Regal is no exception. Maybe he would like the opportunity to reclaim those years by not having to fly across North America on a regular basis and spend more time with all his children. It's not an unreasonable thing to imagine. He is also getting older and never wanted to leave WWE in the first place.

Yes, all wrestlers are "carnies" to different degrees (and Regal would certainly have better credentials than most in that regard as he actually worked the carnivals) however asking your boss if you can be let out of your contract to spend more time with your son, and your boss agreeing, is not carny.

After watching the wrestletalk review of this I think they might be onto something Jericho is still on the roster page of AEW where the recent releases are not anymore and were removed the same day

He returns on dynamite tonight

And also the WWE blatantly missold on JERICHO returning because they still had over 3000 tickets unsold they put the video of Peirce previewing the show with that last comment and they sold out in under a day

That's fraudulent advertisement and they know exactly what they were doing but get away with it for some reason because there the WWE but there's no explanation that didn't obviously state Jericho will be there don't miss it..... disgusting

They never once said Jericho was going to be there. If someone bought it thinking he was, that's on them. But the salt from both sides if Jericho returns on Dynamite will be unreal. Worth it for that alone.

Other than the one explanation that they never obviously stated Jericho will be there?

At most, the break the walls down was MAYBE a tease if you reach hard enough. But they never said he was. Its not false advertising. And its a pretty stupid thing to shit on WWE for. When you can shit on the actual things they do that is scummy. This ain't one.
