thatvinylgeek Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I hope so. As much as I have loved having AJ in WWE, if this is his last year I'd like to see him jump to AEW for a few months to try and get an Opsprey, Omega, Swerve, Hangman (et al) match in the mainstream. Plus AJ at All In....yes please. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted January 27 Paid Members Posted January 27 (edited) Weekly reason why Austin Theory is absolutely shit and will never ever deliver anywhere close to how much he’s pushed or how many chances he has. The script dictated that The Vision comes out for a promo, gets interrupted by Adam Pearce, and then one of them ends up being punished with an immediate impromptu match. Using only visual clues, can you guess which member of The Vision might end up in the match he definitely isn’t expecting? Fuck’s sake, you whopper. Least he could have done is chuck on a T-shirt and shorts over his gear, to provide even a smidgen of suspension of disbelief. Man’s the worst. Zero instincts. An empty shell. CM Punk immediately moving on from Botch Breakker after the one match and insisting he gets a long-term feud with Finn Balor instead. Can’t say I blame him. A couple more matches with Breakker and he’d have had no choice but to call it career and ask Gunther to retire him, too. On that; whilst I love that I don’t know for sure, I think this is likely the end for AJ in The Fed. I think he loses on Saturday and then maybe has a cheeky run in AEW before the end of the year. Definitely felt like he let that slip mentioning wanting to work guys, “in locker rooms around the world.” I look forward to Unreal Season 3, when Road Dogg is asked about how they format the whole deal. ”AJ being forced to retire in the middle of the show runs the risk of killing the crowd. What’s the plan to avoid starting The Royal Rumble match on a down, sour note?” Another good Raw overall. The Christmas break seems to have done them wonders this year. A really solid January. Momentum building. What could possible go wrong? …Seth’s returning as Number Thirty, isn’t he? Edited January 27 by Supremo Quote

To be fair, the creative is on autopilot most of the time that I wouldn't be shocked if coming out in gear and nothing else was a management request rather than an Austin Theory choice. He is fucking dull though. Quote

Now with the shaved head, the shit gear, and gormless "serious" face, he's a shit version of 2009 Orton. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted January 27 Paid Members Posted January 27 Regardless of who or how they scripted it, anyone with the most basic of instincts should have said, “coming out practically naked compared to everyone else makes me look stupid.” What do I know though? He’s looked so insanely awkward and uncomfortable in that leather jacket the last few weeks, maybe it was on purpose and they told him to strip as he went out. ”Won’t it look silly if I’m the only one in trunks?” ”No worse than you looking like you’re wearing your Dad’s jacket, trying to get served in the corner shop.” Quote

Glenryck Pilchards Posted January 27 Posted January 27 To be fair Pac is a Geordie, and it is in their instincts to disrobe if it is about to kick off. Either that or punching a horse... Quote

Plus AJ at All In....yes please. I’m not so keen to be honest. Styles simply feels too long in the tooth now, I’m not convinced that there would be any real benefit in signing him if you’re AEW. He’d be an enormous coup for TNA, on the other hand. 4 hours ago, Supremo said: Weekly reason why Austin Theory is absolutely shit and will never ever deliver anywhere close to how much he’s pushed or how many chances he has. I don’t understand why they persist with him in the way they do. His wrestling is dull, his promo ability is weak and he doesn’t have a particularly striking look either. He’s one of the most forgettable wrestlers I’ve ever seen them push, he’s not even memorable for being shit. If they sacked him tomorrow, he’d be forgotten about quicker than you can say ‘Parker Boudreaux’. And the fact he has had serious allegations made against him turns the baffling into inexplicable. I don’t understand what they think they have in him. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted January 27 Paid Members Posted January 27 (edited) I’m hoping Finn Balor’s explanation for why he attacked CM Punk in the Main Event is the stupid, condescending speech Punk gave him backstage earlier in the night. ”I don’t give Title shots to people who deserve them. I give them to people who earn them.” “They mean the same thing you feckin’ ejit!” Edited January 27 by Supremo Quote
BarryOVega Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I thought after that amazing career making angle where he nicked that cheapo egg from Vince he’d have been set for life but alas, he’s shite He was good in his little cameo at Index’s wedding in NXT but other than that he’s just the Vision’s white Virgil Quote

I’m glad I felt like this about him way back at beginning when some were trying to see the ‘future star’ in him. Cena’s worked shoot promo on him ahead of their Mania match rings as true today as it did back then. A big old snooze machine with zero appeal to most it seems. He did have something that made him appear interesting for 5 mins…sorry, someONE…Grayson Waller. Edited January 30 by SpykeDudlei1 Quote
d-d-d-dAz Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Reigns v Punk? Two megastars headlining Mania in a proper 1 on 1 match? Big talking segments between two proper promo's, where they both explicitly - and implicitly - make everything else the company has going on look like complete loser shit in comparison? Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted February 3 Paid Members Posted February 3 Seth Rollins watching them run back last year’s Mania Main Event, but without him, realising it’s infinitely better because he’s absolute dog shit. Quote
