According to Sean Ross Sapp, there are no plans to bring Lesnar back, and he’s been out of their plans since being named in the McMahon lawsuit.

That's the big story he had coming??

Something we've all known since the Rumble when he was pulled from that event and removed from the Video Game.

And aside from people jumping onto a mention of his name nothing has ever indicated he was coming back soon has it?

They made reference to a beast a few times on Raw this week as well apparently

I have no idea obviously, but part of me wonders whether they chucked in some references to test the water and realised it was a bit warm still so are backing off.

Or, all these websites make shite up.

Either way, I don't think they mention things on the TV shows accidentally - especially when those things have such a close proximity to the Vince case. So something is (or was) going on.

Both these things can be true at the same time. Putting Lesnar on TV before any of the legal proceedings are concluded would be a big PR gamble. That doesn't seem like something sensible given all the coin they are making currently, and given that the new owners are all about the money it doesn't sound like them.

A thread on terrible takes would be good at this point. Man, these fucking idiots on social media need eliminating.

Was reading some stuff on the Kevin Kelly lawsuit against AEW yesterday. The number of people who take offence to the fact that WWE, and to a lesser extent AEW, might have to pay people as employees is unbelievable (and yet, completely believable). It's not your company. You've no skin in the game.

Yeah the risk/reward thing just isn't worth it for bringing Lesnar back right now. They don't need him. They've mostly been able to fly under the radar as a company and continue being successful despite negative things floating around. They've actually been pretty lucky. There's no reason why they should want to poke the bear. Obviously if Vince was in charge he just wouldn't give a shit and think he's above everything, but they've got different people in charge now who seem a little more business savvy rather than being focused on being a singular power hungry pervert.

Why does anyone even want him back? Ignoring all the awful, awful stuff - he's been doing the same shit for years. Isn't everyone bored of it yet? What's left for him to do?

Triple H has the book. He probably wakes up stiff at the thought of Gunther and Lesnar going 50 minutes at SummerSlam.

Come on now. We ALL know how this is going down.

Roman Reigns will be standing in the ring. He's just won a match.

And then..

BWAOAOAOAOOAOAOAOOAAAAOOOOO (yes, that's Lesnar's opening noise, shut up)

Genuinely thought you were going for Bray Wyatt back from the dead with old school theme tune for a minute there, I’m glad for the clarification.

I don’t think that suggestion holds water these days - it was the mainstream media who took down Vince McMahon. And it’s also not just the mainstream media looking into this anymore, there’s a federal investigation.

Mainstream media will mention it in passing but it will never be 'Breaking news' on any mainstream news channels like it would be were it football or Hollywood etc.

Wrestling exists in its own little world. Occasionally it permeates into the mainstream but it is usually very fleeting and then it is left to its own devices for years.

Wrestling has always held a unique position within society as very much existing whilst also being totally separate to social norms and rules.
