Some of them I watched more than once, due to being depressed, but best first time watches for me were EEAAO and Spotlight.

The best films overall were of course The Edge Of Seventeen (second watch with eldest, who also loved it) and Hot Rod, and the BTTF films.

This years aim is to get through the recent Sight & Sound 100 list, and beat 2022s record. Have faith in me lads.

I keep them on my phones notes, but I suppose I better log them somewhere better. Letterboxd I guess.

Edit: Forgot to add The People We Hate At The Wedding might be the worst film I've ever seen, and I'll sit through most things.

I guess it's never too early to start for the 2023 Dolt award.

Anyway my time this year has been driven by the kids.

They picked Jurassic Park which I still think looks incredible to this day. Absolutely top tier.

They also chose Lego Movie 2 which I hadn't really seen up until now and I think I could've survived without it. I'd rather watch Lego Batman again.

At that point I gave up and let them watch whatever while I watch Twilight Zone on my tablet. Still an exceptional show in many ways.

I do need to get back into watching more films. I don't know why but I've really found it a struggle the past few years to concentrate that much. So TV has taken over.

Some of them I watched more than once, due to being depressed, but best first time watches for me were EEAAO and Spotlight.

The best films overall were of course The Edge Of Seventeen (second watch with eldest, who also loved it) and Hot Rod, and the BTTF films.

This years aim is to get through the recent Sight & Sound 100 list, and beat 2022s record. Have faith in me lads.

I keep them on my phones notes, but I suppose I better log them somewhere better. Letterboxd I guess.

Edit: Forgot to add The People We Hate At The Wedding might be the worst film I've ever seen, and I'll sit through most things.

I made a concerted effort to watch as many films as I could last year, and most of them films I hadn't seen before. My target was at least one for each day of the year and In the end I managed 399 (fuck's sake). The worst was undoubtedly In The Company Of Men, and the best was either The Sting, The Remains of the Day or All That Jazz. Hardly watched anything new though, but going to try and rectify that this year, and keep on the 356 target.

I haven't seen this, but did watch The Shape Of Things in 2022, another Neil LaBute. 

I enjoyed it, but it was so bloody cynical, with a really depressing ending.

Anyway if you can stop watching your 1956 Russian 4 hour drama set in a kitchen, maybe you could explain why it was Disney, who don’t run but own Fox who forced people to not see the film they released.  Actually better yetand you’re now ignored

When I was having my meltdown. I’d go on to attempted suicide, I wasn’t coping with my son’s diagnosis as having Autism, I was worried about losing my home. But this is known when I discussed it after I went away and came back. Fast forward a few years after this and my own diagnosis for ADHD and Autism, and my daughter as well and I’m in a much better place whilst trying to understand life, but I’m safer in my head, the main thing.

 

@Keith Houchen Yes I once blamed one bad comment I made at 3am on being up with my son and having hardly slept for a few days. What’s your excuse for being such a horrible cunt that good posters have left the forum more then once, down to your comments?
