That's quite the sentence!

Is it weird that they're comfort watches or weird that it's in there amongst some classics?

I think the idea of someone being comforted by Leatherface is quite unusual :D but also set the bar high for Obsession there!

Hoping to see it this weekend at some point. Already got Disclosure Day, Backrooms and Masters of the Universe booked.. I'm sure one more won't hurt..

It's hard to explain, like, Jurassic Park is a massive comfort watch too but was framing it alongside other horror films. They're films I've watched so many times, that I've fallen asleep to, that I've fawned over the cinematography about and will just stick on if I can't think of anything else. They're comforting in their familiarity if that makes sense?

It's fantastic but go in with an open mind. My wife hated it but I've been so drawn in by it.

Oh absolutely! I'm just messing with you. I went through years of horror being my main comfort watches. I've become a bit of a pussy since I had kids, so I don't want them nearly as much now, but I love the ones that just come out of nowhere and capture everyone's attention, so really looking forward to this weekend.

I was a very depressed teenager and from about 13-15, I'd watch Goodfellas pretty much every day after school, it was my escape. That's my comfort film. Motherfucking mutt!!!

I like to crack open a cold biere blonde and watch Scum to wind down.

MECCA!!!, KING COCONUT???

My parents didn't really care about what I watched but I remember my Dad going absolutely garrity when my sisters showed me that film way too young.

Most of my comfort watches tend to be conspiracy and political thrillers, for some reason. I don't know if it's because they're very talky and relaxing to me. The amount of times I've put The Conversation and All the President's Men on for a comfort watch.

Incredible film to show to a young lad to ensure you stay on the straight and narrow though! It scared the shit out of me when I watched it as a teenager.

Going slightly off topic but I do wonder if there's a correlation between neurodivergencey and finding horror and violent action films soothing in the way there's a link between why metal music is calming to people with ADHD due to how stimulating it is.

Finally watched Welcome to Sarajevo best part of 30 years after I read the review of it in Total Film, everyone in it is superb and it’s tense as fuck in parts despite having a rough idea of the real life story, very good film

Also watched Final Cut with Jude Law, Ray Winstone and the rest of that late 90s London lot, never even heard of it before and wish I still hadn’t, Ray Winstone must’ve made this around the same time as Nil By Mouth, can’t think of many films further apart on the quality scale, absolutely laughable up its own arse shite
