A thing to note that afaict Baldur's Gate 3 co-op is properly unlimited. Afaict you're able to just fuck off completely and be doing something else, so it is essentially running two instances of the game with all the associated load that comes with that. Definitely a challnge to get that functionin well enough on Series S to pass cert (which is where I'd assume the problem is, that they can get it to 'work' but not enough to pass.

Divinity Original Sin 2 had a really nice dynamic split-screen where if you were close you'd share a single screen and as you moved away from each other it would separate into split screen, it's a shame they don't have that in BG3.

Wrestlequest was supposed to come out today (the launch trailer released on Youtube a few hours back) but it’s now been delayed for 2 weeks due to a saves not working!

The reviews haven’t been too kind either.

It holds a 70/100 on Opencritic, that's not too unkind. I don't think many were expecting a masterpiece.

Is this the one with the OSW lads in it?

Aye, it's shit they only found such a big bug on release day but hey, there are broken AAA games that just get thrown out on to the store and patched weeks if not months later.

It sounds, judging by the reviews I’ve see , that it’s only a few quality-of-life updates away from a much higher score. However, Conrad Thompson is in it, so I’m still on the fence…

Gave Vampire Survivors a look on my phone. It's free for the base game, if you die it gives you the option to watch an advert to revive you, but only once, and when it's game over it asks if you want to watch an advert for extra gold. The DLC is available, presumably for a couple of quid a piece. It's out on Switch next week, costs £4, and the DLC is £2 a pop, but they're on sale for the month of August. It's fun, and the controls aren't too bad for a touch screen game either.

Quake 2 had a surprise release on pretty much everything today, not only does it have the expansions but also a brand new one from MachineGames and Quake 2 64.

Including Game Pass! It was an immediate download for me.

Ah yeah I forgot it's owned by Microsoft now!

I still much prefer the aesthetic of the first game but 2 is arguably more fun as a pure fps, online was such a huge thing and it's included here too with cross play.

Playing the beta EA FC 24 on Switch. It's okay, but obviously very glitchy as it's a beta game and first ea football game since 2018. Sort of game I wouldn't spunk 50 notes on but may get someone to get me it for Christmas or something.
