According to Wiki, he did the European tour and a couple of house shows after. Left three weeks to the day after wrestling Hogan at WrestleMania. According to Sid in every shoot interview he has said he asked for his release at Royal Rumble 92 after the way Hogan behaved backstage. Vince then requested Sid to atleast stay till Wrestlemania 8 and also do the European tour.

I definitely remembered it as him being gone from WrestleMania 8 until he was Shawn’s bodyguard years later - and I went to that April 1992 tour! I went to the show with the other crew though (LoD vs Nasty Boys as the main, rather than Taker vs Sid).

According to Wiki, quoting Meltz (which might not be the most reliable, although neither is Sid ?), he failed a drug test before Mania, was due to be suspended at some point after, but quit because of some disagreement about his matches with Ultimate Warrior.
