Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted September 2, 2019 Author Paid Members Share Posted September 2, 2019 I've always thought this for Stepfather 2 (which is a *really* enjoyable film too) is absolutely ace.
Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted September 2, 2019 Awards Moderator Share Posted September 2, 2019 Never heard of the film but I thought "that looks like Terry O'Quinn... <scans small print>... It is!" Definitely an actor we need to see more of.
Paid Members Thunderplex Posted September 3, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted September 3, 2019 The original Stepfather is one of my favourite thrillers of all time. Terry O’Quinn should have got an award for his performance. TrueType chilling.

Never seen it, the first Stepfather however is one of my favourite films. Terry O'Quinn was brilliant. It's just a good suspenseful 80s horror. My favourite type of film
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted September 3, 2019 Author Paid Members Share Posted September 3, 2019 The sequel isn't quite as good, as you'd expect, but it does work really well and builds on his character quite well. If you like the original, I don't see much reason why you wouldn't like this.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted April 8, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted April 8, 2020 Absolutely love this one, for the Russian release of Spartacus. It's great the way you can see the best known art styles of particular countries or regions come out in their film posters quite often. Paid Members Cod Eye Posted April 11, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted April 11, 2020 Can anyone recomend somewhere that sells decent quality movie posters please? I'm wanting to buy some to put in frames, but don't want to pay an arm and a leg if possible...

We hunted everywhere we could think of recently for our posters but couldn’t find anything suitable.

I found one by chance and they could sort nearly anything in colour, style and size as well as non standard shape and it wasn't too expensive for a fantastic looking finish and end product. Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted April 12, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted April 12, 2020 (edited) Look at some of the beauties on this. https://mubi.com/notebook/posts/movie-poster-of-the-week-new-york-in-the-1970s-in-polish-posters This Klute one is utterly surreal. But the detail on The French Connection one is incredible. Adrian Curry's page on Mubi is full of great articles and lists of posters. https://mubi.com/notebook/posts/author/43 Edited April 12, 2020 by Devon Malcolm
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted May 15, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted May 15, 2020 It doesn't bear any resemblance to the action within the film, but this one for 80s actioner The Last Hunter is ace. As is the German version:-
Paid Members Carbomb Posted May 15, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted May 15, 2020 This one's a completely unofficial alternative design, but I thought it was really good - my sister's a huge fan of True Romance, so I got this for her as a framed large print for Christmas:

To be fair, the actual German poster is pretty badass too. Edited May 16, 2020 by Fog Dude Adding a link
